Best Resorts to Visit for Christmas Decorations

We will be staying onsite the week before Christmas and I've managed to set some time aside to visit the resorts. I know the Grand Floridian has beautiful decorations as well as a Gingerbread house (store). What other resorts should we see?

I agree, Beach Club has a very nice set up in the Lobby, but nothing is like the Grand Floridian! You must see it, with the big tree, ginger bread house, and brass band.

At Fort Wilderness a lot of campers decorate their campsites.

We'll find the answer to that question ourselves this Christmas. We are staying at the WL in less than a month and plan on visiting the resorts to see which decorations we liked the most.

Don't forget Boardwalk. They always have a good display in the lobby. I love the tree at WL. I must say the GF has the best decorations. Just my opinion. I love to look at all the decorations. I always save time to check them out during the day and at night. Nothing like Disney at Christmas time.

I can't wait! Leaving for WDW on Saturday.

The Poly is also a great one to visit.

Don't miss the Wilderness Lodge. It is nicely done for the holidays.

I have always found the Contemporary to be pretty bland. I have never been at Christmas- what are the decorations like?

Thanks for the suggestions!!! We haven't been to Disney for Christmas in 15 years and this will be the first time with kids and a chance to visit the resorts.

Are there other specialty decorations like the Grand Floridian has the gingerbread house? Or are most of the others just themed trees, etc.?

I might only be able to make 2 or 3 resorts on our down day (1/2 day) so I'd like to prioritize. From what I gather around the Dis, Grand Floridian would be #1 on the list. I will see the Poly our first day there as we are meeting up with friends.

Thanks for the info!

I agree!!! My taste runs to the old-style blown glass ornaments, and they always have beautiful displays with loads of old fashioned ornaments. Don't forget to take a look at the ornaments for sale at the German Pavilion at the World Showcase.

Any of the deluxe's, they all have beautiful decorations. My favorites are probably WL, GF, CR (love the Pinocchio stuff), and AKL.

CSR has the nicest of the moderate category, but not on par with the deluxe's. So not really worth an extra trip over, but of the mods, they have the nicest ones.
