Should Disney REPLACE The Socerer Hat Icon at Hollywood Studios?

Hey All!

Do you all think Disney should replace this sorcerer blue hat with something more imaginative? I understand that some here on this forum say that it does block the view of the Great Movie Ride. Also, I think it's kind of "dull" and lackluster.

Magic Kingdom has the beautiful, classic castle, Epcot has the classic and beautiful sphere, and Animal Kingdom does have the tree which also houses the Bug show! But the sorcerer blue hat at HS just doesn't cut it in my opinion.

What do you all think!???

Thanks all!!!

Brunette

I dont know what they would replace it with. I somewhat agree, by comparison to the other icons it is definitely lacking the majestic feel the other icons have, but I like it.

I'm ok with it. Other than the fact that it reminds me of the fantasmic show that they have cut so far back on and will most assuredly be rained out the one day I get to be there.

I like it, but wish they could move it so it dosen't block The Great Movie Ride.

I adore the sorcerer hat! I would be really upset if they replaced it.

I agree that the hat is no where near as awe-inspiring as Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth or the Tree of Life. And it's not even original to the park. I think the imagineers should have waited for something more inspired to come to them.

WHAT?

I was ready to come on to this thread and proclaim my minority opinion of loving the hat but it looks like so far, that's the popular one

*******

LoL! Well it's certainly doing a good job of blocking the view!

It just reminds me of the ARM on the side of Spaceship Earth. Kinda cheesy, I think they (the imagineers) could think of something more awe inspiring if you ask me. They should come up with something that really makes you go "WOW". Don't get me wrong I think it's okay, but it doesn't have the same standard as the other parks in my opinion.

Why???? I must have missed that memo.

I don't really care if it exists or not and frankly if it is trying to be the icon for the park then make it something more than a pin trading location. I think the perfect location for it would be in the animation courtyard next to the Little Mermaid.

To be honest I don't really pay attention to that hat. I have tons of pictures of the castle, the Tree of Life and Epcot's sphere but I never take pictures of the hat. I think it's cute though. In my opinion DHS needs a total makeover anyway. They are doing better with things like TSMM, TOT and RnR but I feel like the rest of the park is lacking something. Can't put my finger on it though.
