Getting excited?

Three weeks to go.

I just realized that I only have one week where I will work the full week between now and the end of the year. This next week I have Thanksgiving off, of course. The week after that is my one, full week of work. Then I work 3 1/2 days - and then starts my Disney Vacation. I'm at WDW that full next week. Then the week of Christmas I'm out of town visiting my family. And the following week I have New Years off. I positively feel like a slacker!

I need to get a new pair of shoes and start breaking them in right away, so that I have at least 2 pairs for the trip. I need to order another pair of jeans - maybe two - for my trip. I need to finish up my non-Disney Christmas shopping, so that's done before I go. But I don't want to spend too much money - I need to save all I can for the trip.

One minute I'm excited. One minute I'm stressed. One minute I can't wait. The next I wish I had longer to prepare. Am I in the Christmas spirit? Am I not at all? I can't decide. I feel like I'm losing my mind!

Hard to believe this is my TENTH TRIP to WDW!

Now that you said that, I only work one full week till the end of the year too. The only full week I work is the first week of Dec. I leave for WDW on Dec 9th.

I ordered two pairs of flip flops from Crocs the other day. I all ready the rest of my shoes. I will bring the two pairs of flip flops, a pair of crocs, a pair of sneakers. And today I finished up the last of my shopping for the trip. I bought a new pair of jeans, new panties, Bra, very small purse for a park bag, all of my toiletries and I think I am done.

Me too! Me too!

I am also going a little crazy and also don't have a full work week until we leave. Lets see monday my dd has an ortho appt. Thurs is of course Thanksgiving. I normally work Sunday's but am taking off because we have an extra family gathering Thanksgiving weekend so that leaves me with a 4 day work week. The next week I work just Sunday and Monday and then I leave for Disney.

The kicker, my mom is supposed to watch my kids. She has been having health issues since Aug. Some days she is still coming to watch the kids and some days she says she doesn't think she can make it. As of right now she says she is going to make it but she is on some much pain medication that I don't want her to make it. My inlaws have said they will watch the kids if she doesn't make it but I leave in 2.5 weeks and I still don't know who is watching my kids.

So yes, I am also very excited about my trip and very stressed.

I can relate...I have only 1 day of work this coming week, then 2 days ,2 days then vacation not back till Dec 25th .I am ALMOST finished Christmas shopping. But the sheer amount of money I have spent between paying off the Disney trip ,Christmas shopping, Birthdays in December ,Thanksgiving Prep( I am hosting 14 people) I am actually nauseous.I am excited but sick to my stomach and stressed about both holidays ..

The closest I'll get to Black Friday shopping is on the internet.

I volunteered to work the Friday after Thanksgiving. I work for a federal agency, and on Thanksgiving is an actual federal holiday, so we're open on Friday. Even though the people we monitor/"provide technical guidance for" (we're from the government, and we're here to help) will almost certainly all be off - there's plenty of work for me to catch up on - but they're pretty generous with allowing leave. They do like to have at least one person in each functional area there, just in case. I figure, since I'm going to be off December 11-27th, and I'm not having a family thing for Thanksgiving, it's the least I can do. It will be quiet, I can get caught up, and maybe do a little cyber Black Friday shopping of my own.

My plan is to get all the members of the family 1 non-Disney thing before I go, and one thing at Disney World. Plus stocking stuff. We do adult stockings in my family - we don't have many little ones at the moment, but lots of adults. So we have a stocking for everyone, and we all put one small, inexpensive (hopefully humorous) item in everyone else's stocking, plus some candy. I was joking that I was going to put the Disney hotel soap/shampoo in everyone's stocking - and it became such a family joke (through circulating email) that now I HAVE to do it (plus another small gift from Disney so that they'll know *I* gave them something else). I was looking through my travel stuff, and I already have 3 soaps & 2 shampoos from previous trips. I'll be there 8 days, so a few more won't be a problem.

Anyone who's been there recently - when I was there in March they had these plastic totes that were zipped up into a little pillow with a plastic clip/hook attached for about $5. They were everywhere. I was thinking those would make great stocking stuffers. Are they still around?

OK, I'm getting really excited!
