BWV HA room locations?
I booked a fully accessible (i.e. roll-in shower) 1bedroom for us next September and we have a HA studio pool/garden view room for Dec 4. Does anyone know where these are most likely located?
I know the HA Boardwalk view rooms are over the Screen Door (2nd floor, lobby level). They have a high wall blocking the view of the boardwalk below waist level. What sort of view could I expect with standard and pool/garden view?

The last time I had a full roll in shower garden view it was located as you get off the elevator turn right and it was the second door down. Susan

Have you tried the room finder database on dvcnews? It has some info on HA rooms.
I did a search for you - BoardWalk Villas RoomFinder - HA studios and 1 bedrooms

Thanks. I'm hoping it's on the lobby level. I'm not sure how you get out of the building on the 1st floor with a wheelchair. Would be a pain if I need to go up to the 2nd floor and down the BWI elevator just to get out to the Boardwalk.

Anyway, hoping the OP did the HA search herself - there are 13 rooms listed as HA when you select all the options for studios or 1 bedrooms (dedicated and lock off) and select HA.

BCV room locations
Don't mean to hijack this thread but....I'm trying to remember what the site is that shows all room locations of all the DVC properties. I thought it was something like parkstogo.com. Can anyone help me refresh my feeble mind?
Just found it......parkinfo2go.com Whew!

Go to the main search page HERE and just change the Handicapped indicator to YES. Click "Submit" and it should return a list of all rooms reported as being Handicapped Accessible. (Bear in mind that the info contained within does not represent 100% of the resort and it's based entirely on guest feedback with no way to confirm accurancy.) |

It doesn't appear to show HA 1bedrooms in the standard view category either (for my ressie next Sep/Oct). Nor is it clear about what constitutes a HA room. I'm looking specifically for one with a roll-in shower.
The results for Boardwalk view showed HA studios on the 4th floor but I know the only ones with a roll-in shower are on the lobby level. (With the waist-high wall.) I stayed in that one last year and that was all they had in the entire resort for that category. A poster here tipped me off beforehand that was where the room was so I wasn't totally crushed, even if I did waste some time trying to get front desk and special needs to create a roll-in shower studio for me on another floor. I wish that database gave me more detailed info on HA rooms. Second question, I remember a while ago I found a map linked on this forum to a drawing of exactly where the standard view rooms are in BWV. Does anyone remember where? Search has failed me each time I looked.

Hi,
I can't help with the 1 bedroom, but I did have a roll in shower studio 3 weeks ago at BWV. It was room 1070, and as Bobbiwoz said, it was just around the corner from the work out room, and almost opposite the laundry room. It was very quiet even though it looked out onto the pool. I had booked a standard view to save points, but I guess this was what they had when we checked in. It was a pleasant surprise. It was very easy to get to the Boardwalk and the elevators were quick, and mostly empty, when we wanted to get to the lobby to go to the parks. The only problem I did have with the room was that the shower curtain wasn't long enough, so the whole bathroom got soaked when anyone had a shower, and the shower head ran and dripped, so wasn't particularly useful. I reported it as we were leaving, as I didn't think they could really do anything whilst we were in the room, I just didn't want the next visitors to have to put up with it, and was told that as soon as we had checked out someone would fix it, but if I had let them know earlier, it would have been sorted for us during our stay. So if anyone get room 1070 and it still has the problems I mentioned, I'd like to know.
