I'm one of those people who think this is just the internet version of high school type cliques.

Oooh! How many friends can I attract to my page so I'll feel a sense of importance and significance.

I so do not have a membership, page, or visit anyone else's pages.

I was just thinking that I spend way too much time on that site and it might not really bother me if it shut down. I wish I could stop myself from going there, but I do like it.

I would be gutted.

I have made very good friends with Dissers and as its too expensive to call over seas I keep up with them on FB.

I would be upset. A PP said something about it being cliquish...I dunno, maybe to high schoolers, but for me, I am 30. I don't care how many friends I have or how many friends anyone else has. I use it as a way to keep up with friends and family and it really has made communicating with everyone so much easier. Not mention being able to share photos easily.

I also don't care about my number of friends, per se. I have about 210 of them, BUT I don't even know about 190 of them at all. They are only "friends" so that I have more people to help me out with playing Mafia Wars and Cafe World.

Though, I have actually become more friendly on Facebook with some DISers than I actually was / am on the DIS.
