So I took my daughters to see Disney's Christmas Carol...

and it was pretty intense and downright scary in some parts. We ended up leaving because my girls were so freaked. I loved the animation, it was amazing in 3D but I just wanted to give a little warning for younger kids.

Mine loved it, but is 9.

There were lots of little kids in the audience, some sitting right next to us, and I didn't hear anyone cry.

Sorry your kids were scared, that stinks.

Mine are 9, 8 and 6. They were pretty freaked. It was a shame because I really wanted to see the rest! However, on our way out, I mentioned to the ticket guy that we were leaving the movie early since it was frightening for my kids. He asked what movie and when I told him, he laughed and said a lot of kids are scared by it. Then he told me to hang on and returned with 4 free movie passes. Wasn't that kind? I thought so.

ETA: My kids have seen all the Harry Potter movies and still the Christmas Carol scared them, go figure.

Sometimes you never know how the kids are going to react to things. How nice of the ticket guy to give you fresh tickets.

They just had a commercial on for that movie and it said "warning may be to scary for young children" so they do havea warning on the commercials. I saw it with my daughter last week and she loved it--but she just turned 10

Yea I knew 2 of my kids wouldn't make it from the commercials being so scary - then I heard from a friend who took hers - when I suggested she not - LOL she couldn't believe how scary it was! HA HA!

I wanna see it but may just see the none 3d version - especially since its cheaper - but without kiddos!

I saw it today. I jumped and covered my eyes in a few places. And I'm 15.

Well, it is rated PG. I'm surprised you're surprised.

Well, Night at the Museum, Bridge to Terabithia, Hotel for Dogs and Up were all rated PG. There goes that theory!
