Less crowded lunch time during Thanksgiving?
We will be at MK on Thanksgiving day.
What time would you suggest we eat lunch that would not be absolutely insane with crowding & lines? We were thinking about eating at 11:20 or 11:30? We will be with my parents and they cannot eat too late. We are interested in eating at Columbia Harbour House. Do you think 11:30-ish would be ok to not have to wait in line for an hour to eat and have a place to sit? Thanks! |

We ate around 11am there on the 4th of July which is more crowded than Thanksgiving and had no problems at all.

I don't think I've ever had to wait an hour at any counter service place for food. Not even during Christmas week. Disney counter service is fairly fast. 11:30 is probably a great time for lunch. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've actually found 1:00 to be a worse time to try and get something to eat.

Is there ample seating over by CHH? We've never eaten there before. |

11:30 - 11:40 ish should be fine. Seems the lunch bell goes off for people at noon and that's when most lines start to form.
If you decide on CHH and the upstairs is open (should be on a crowded park day) it's a nice place to sit and have your lunch, usually much quieter than downstairs. Of course this depends on who is seated up there! A table by the window can have a view of some of the park too. I have not seen an elevator, so it may be difficult if someone in your party cannot handle the stairs. |
