I give zero credence to that article. Beware of what a 'hacker' says he obtained by hacking into computers. One of the cited pieces of evidence was 'too perfect' (supposedly an email from one scientist to another bragging how he manipulated evidence from the past twenty years to hide an actual decline in the world's temperature.

I did enjoy reading that the author of the article claims to be absolutely right about everything. Nothing like confidence in oneself.

I picked up on that as well. Not to mention - this is a worldwide scientific endeavour, not just in the hands of one group of scientists with the power to manipulate all the data at hand. Whilst the two 'sides' of the issue have completely opposite viewpoints, the truth is usually somewhere in the middle, isn't it?

How is this politics?

Both liberals and conservatives take up global warming issues.

Why has the earth cooled the last several years??

The billion dollar question.

The earth was formed a little under 5 billion years ago. We started recording the weather a couple hundred years ago give or take a few years.

What was the weather like in those unrecorded years?

Some reputable scientists believe the temperature of the sun runs in cycles and has more to do with warming/cooling of the earths climate.

I saw this earlier. My son's best friend came home today saying he heard that Dr. Phil revealed he was suffering from some condition and was dying. So, I started searching Dr. Phil (nothing turned up by the way, except Oprah giving up her show next year). Funny though, in the middle of the Oprah links, I saw a link stating it's now proven GW is a hoax.

Well, I read the article (wasn't the same one as in the OP), but when I went to download the entire files, I was taken to 2 sites. 1 was a porn site, the other was a weight lifting site of sorts, so I didn't put much weight on it at all.

Having said all that, I fully believe GW is a hoax. I'm just not sure that this alone will prove it.

there have been 12 ice ages. if global warming wasn't real and natural, why aren't we still in one?

Having worked with Anthony Watts (the blogger) in the past, I found him pretty credibly. With that said, nothing is verified yet. But if this does get verified, it'll be a huge scandal...

Global warming is not a lie per se. The earth goes through cyclic changes constantly. It warms up, cools down. That man had any negligible impact, yeah, that was a lie.

I think the blogger is desperately seeking attention. The debate over global warming has ended. The scientific evidence is abundant. Of course there will always be a segment of the population that believes it is a myth. These same people also tend to believe that the moon landing was faked and that the earth is about 6,000 years old.
