GF Marina View and Wishes - The DIS Discussion Forums

I saw on another thread that you can watch wishes from the marina at the GF and that you get a pretty good view.....is the same true if you have a marina view room ? Will you be able to see Wishes from your balcony do you think ? I know someone on the DIS has stayed in a marina view.......

There are a few marina view rooms where you can stand on your balcony and turn to the side to see the castle. But the majority of marina view rooms are blocked by the side of the building.

thanks for the reply ! well, I'm good with just BEING there....we can walk down to the beach and watch it.

If you have a marina view, just walk outside- no need to go to the beach. There are a couple of benches just past the Grand 1 yacht to watch too. We did all the time last year. Have fun!

OOOOH!! I can't even wait to go there ! I've always wanted to go there and this is going to be our first time . it's like a dream. we keep reading such wonderful things about the hotel. We'll definately do that and just walk down to the marina.

I read their beach faces more of the Polynesian and you won't be able to see it from there. However another great location to watch Wishes from is the marina in front of Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

Do you think w/ bring our DD 4 that we should request maybe Big Pine Key or Boca Chica to be closer to the main building and the pool ? I don't want to be too far out where she's going to be dragging!

The great thing about the GF is that it is not spread out at all. So it's never to far of a walk for anything.

When staying GV, we like Conch Key. It has the marina view, is close to the boat launch, Gasparilla's and the quiet pool.

BTW....I LOVE your Cpt Jack w/ the Santa hat !!!
