Where to buy food for room?

We will be flying in from NY with 2 children and would like to keep milk, juice, yogurt, cereal, pb & J and bread, etc, etc, in our room so we are not eating out for every meal.

Is there a small grocery store somewhere? Or will all we be able to get is snacks from vending machines? We are looking at staying at the Beach Club Villa in the 1 bedroom---which has a full kitchen---just hope we can get food to make use of it!

It depends on if you are renting a car or not. If you are renting a car then getting food is easy, if you will not have a car I recommend GardenGrocer.com. I used them twice and it has worked out fine.

www.wegoshop.com has gotten excellent reviews. I have never used their service, but plan to on our next trip. They shop from your list and deliver it to you. I hear that Marge and her husband are awesome.

We found a Publix's about a five minute drive from AKL. We had a rental car, but talking to a few people at AKL some of them were taking a cab there since it was so close.

We are planning on using Gardengrocer.com. They deliver right to your resort and I've heard good things about them.

Hess Station

If you are staying at BCV, there is a Hess gas station / minimart beyond the Boardwalk resort which is across the lake from BCV. It's about a half mile walk. If that's not too far to consider, you will find the "essentials" you described there at prices far below what you will pay at "The Marketplace" which is the Beach Club store and quick-serve eatery.
