Is this a good price or should I keep looking?
I just got my quote back from Dreams Unlimited this morning for the Disney Dream, 4 nights, April 17-21, 2011 for 2 Cat10A for 7 people(5adults&2children)
Grand total without airfare, insurance or transfers..$3553.19. Is this good?

It's the only price there is for the dates and category you want. So, if that's the cruise you choose to do, you have the price. Can you get a better price--probably, but not for those dates in that category.
So, if your dates are not flexible, go with it. If your dates are flexible, call a TA who will look up all the spring 2011 dates and tell you which weeks are cheapest! |

It's not a horrible price for 2 deluxe inside rooms the week before Easter. It's about $1800/room, which is about $400 more than what we're paying for a 4nt Wonder cruise in January with kids free. I think we're paying just $500-600 less for 4 people, 1 room on the cheapest 5 night Dream cruise in the summer.
As kcasher says, you'll get the same price for the same dates and room category whether you book it through DCL or via the TA. If you see any differences, it's probably because one includes transfers and/or insurance while the other excludes it, so make sure you're comparing apples to apples. Dates and categories play a huge role in determining price, so if you are flexible on either of those 2, then you can probably find a lower price. You can do your own price shopping on Disney's website, or you can have your TA do the price comparisons for you. If you're set on the date, but flexible on the category and willing to forego the split bath, then you can look at some of the cat 11 rooms to save some money. If you're not flexible on either, then book it and have a wonderful time! |
