Marrakesh Question :)

So my fiance insisted we go to Marrakesh. I agreed to go then I looked at the menu after making the reservation and its not really my thing.
So I was wondering,
Could we go to Marrakesh him use a TS credit, and me pay out of pocket?
I only want a drink and maybe a dessert, and don't want to waste a credit if I'm not having a meal
Is this allowed or will I be charged an entertainment fee or something as they often charge (though I think that is mostly at Buffets)

Sure, you can use your credits however you want to . Just tell your server, you need 2 bills.

Your missing out by not eating at Marrekesh. They have fantastic food. Their couscous is out of the world.

Buffets don't do an entertainment charge - they charge in full for everyone at the table, because they can't tell whether or not the person who isn't paying is actually not eating.

Marrakesh isn't a buffet so you can split the checks any way you wish.

Try It!

I encourage you to try the food at Marrakesh. DW really liked the food and she doesn't like spicy ethnic food (like Indian food, Korean, Thai, etc.). It is a bit Americanized and not really authentic Moroccan food. No strange spices or anything like that.

We had lunch around 1pm and enjoyed the music and belly dancer. Service was top notch excellent. The menu may have some different items than what you find on allears.net and other sites. The seafood bastilla appetizer was very good. Another appetizer was beets with goat cheese and other stuff -- also very good. Our entrees were also delicious including the roast lamb meshoui. For dessert, the marrakesh delight - fresh fruit with mint ice cream was delicious. Best mint ice cream I've ever had. And try the mint iced tea -- I think I had 6 or 7 glasses (hot day).

The food there is delicious! I would suggest trying it, but you can do the split check thing.

I have to go with those that say, "Give it a try". I think it is one of the neat things about EPCOT is to try things from around the world. I have always found their food to be interesting and fun. Maybe you won't like everything but what if you find something that you really love!!!!

I have a lot of food allergies which limits what I eat greatly so I tend to stick to the familiar on vacation to avoid hospital visits I'd really love to try new things, but last time I tried unique food (Ethiopian in a near by town) I ended up in the hospital with an allergic reaction its notfun

I have peanut and tree nut allergies. I have it noted on all my dining reservations. At every restaurant the chef comes out and goes over the menu with me and points out what isn't safe. Disney is the safest place to eat with food allergies.

Yes -- another person saying that allergies at WDW are NOT a problem -- just note it on your ADR or talk to the CM (who will bring out a chef) when you are seated. AND another person saying that you really owe it to yourself to try the food at Marrakesh. It is not overly exotic -- there are many dishes there that will not challenge you (in terms of spices or ingredients) but that taste wonderful.

Said nicely with only best intentions: it's hard to enjoy a meal if the person you are with isn't eating a meal. Your finance will have a hard time not feeling the need to rush through the meal or feeling guilty b/c you're sitting there not eating. Why not get your lifelong relationship off to a great start by just trying, and then knowing that there will be times when you're the one who's chosen the restaurant or whatever and your spouse is the one making the best of it? Again, esp. since WDW can absolutely take care of your allergy needs?
