back in 2007 I did the tea as a treat to myself and will be returning in 6 days for my trip with my Mother. Back in 07 I ordered Tea, tea sandwich's and scones and got 2 scones a la carte. But they MAY have changed it since. My suggestion is to ask before you order. Either way enjoy! Have a safe fun trip!

My husband and I have ordered tea and scones before, although it's been a year or so. We usually get the full Afternoon Tea. When we got scones, we got 2 scones and a miniature strawberry (or raspberry) tart, which we shared. But you will probably have to ask for extra jam and Devonshire cream, as they only seem to give you enough for 1 scone.

Every year we go to the Afternoon Tea, the first few times I went I ordered a full tea service. Last year, I ordered a la carte - jam tarts, strawberry trifle, and lemon pound cake. My mom ordered the Sally Lunn Tea Service and we shared everything. They were great about it, and split everything down the middle (each course on two plates) because they knew we wanted to share. We are going to do the same thing in January 2010, I can't wait! Have fun!

I just went to tea...have to go everytime! I always ask for a extra onion tart and scone..they always just give it to me, never been charged for more (i would be ok with it if they did though).I went to fresh market the other day and got some scones and a bottle of the devon cream (4.99) and it is soooo yummy! I should not do it to much though because I can see me gaining 20 pounds! lol

According to any online menus that I can find, you can't even order onion tarts ala carte...I am sure if I ask they would accomodate!! And I don't mind paying extra...thanks for your help everyone!!! We have dinner at 5pm and we didn't want to fill up at tea...last time I had the Grand Tea and it was like a FULL meal!! This time we just want a snack and the experience!!

We went in June.....a la cart. Got scones and a couple of pastries to share.
That was my third time there and I think I need to go more often! Love it.
