It depends A LOT on your server and on how long you may choose to linger over coffee. Anywhere from 75 minutes to 120 minutes...but the 2 hours would be long and slow!

If you get a slow poke, talk to your head server on the first night. They know who is efficient!

I've also seen people (usually with kids who can't keep still or who are ready for bed) come down to dinner and take their food back to their room.

Thanks for the tip! I will keep that in mind. Didn't know I could do that...

WOW! That's definitely my worry. DD will be too tired since we got late seating. If our seating could be changed to early it would be much better... Thank you so much. If we're still stuck with the late seating I most probably will have to try this tip.

For us, it seemed the key was arriving early or right when the seating began. We ordered first amongst our servers tables and were able to ask our kids order to be brought out quickly. Our food seemed to come quicker too. We were often leaving the dining room before the other tables in our area were ordering desert. (about an hour and 15 minutes) We also had our own table, so that might be important too (we didn't have to wait for pokey tablemates to order). We purposely showed up a few minutes late when we knew we wanted to stay for the duration (AP show night) and our dinner took a lot longer.

Do you have early (main) or late dinner seating?

Early seating seems to not take as long as they are trying to get people in and out and the restaurant set up for the late seating.

If you have late seating, you can arrange for your child's dinner to be brought out quickly and then the counselors from the kid's club will come and get your child and take them to the club so that you can enjoy the rest of your dinner.

Just another option.

Talk to the server about you needs. Perhaps he/she can make things go faster.

Thanks everyone. We unfortunately have late seatings right now. But I'm planning to head to the boat early to change the assignment if possible.
If not, I will ask our servers nicely if our food can come out lightning fast so DD won't have to wait too long. Unfortunately DD is too young to go to the club

Do not worry if the little one falls asleep at the table after they have eaten - it happens all the time. My DS would just put his head on the table and fall asleep or put his head in my lap or sometimes we would put two chairs together. We would never know when his switch would be turned from on to off. We have had several nice dinners with him sleeping at the table.

I have seen many a child carried out of the resturants. I hope you can change to early seating but if it doesn't work out you should be fine.
