ME Tags Question?

We are booked for the same week as a friend in December. We leave in less than 3 weeks... Our ME vouchers and yellow tags arrived weeks ago by courier, theirs have not arrived. She called WDW to inquire today and was told they never courier the ME vouchers and that hers will be arriving by mail in 10-14 days. Needless to say, we are a little confused.

I'm not sure why they would have told them that they do not use courier service if thats how yours come ( because obviously they do). Our tage usually always make it to us ( they have even over nighted a set that we never received). If she called WDW then they may not have all iof the information because ME is owned and operated by MEARS and not DIsney. If she has not called the ME office directly please have her do so because they will be able to help her out more. Disney's Magical Express Guest Services ( 866) 599-0951. I iope that this helps some.

The majority of the time, DME info packets/luggage tags are sent out about a month before departure time. I got mine about 5 weeks prior to my departure date.
Not sure why your friends haven't gotten theirs yet. In over 8 trips with DME, I have yet to have them couriered to me...they always arrive in the mail. So, I'm not sure how you got yours that way. Could have been a fluke.
Since your friend has already called Disney, and is sure they have her in the system, she should be fine. If those luggage tags don't get to them in time, they can do one of two things...1. get their own luggage and bring it to the bus with them, or 2. give their baggage claim receipts to the DME CMs when they get to the checkin counter..they will send someone to get the bags and deliver them to the resort.
But, she should be absolutely sure that DME has her reservation. Perhaps she should call DME directly, rather than Disney.

I too would have them call the number that was provided. We are leaving for the world in 11 days and still have not received our ME tags. A couple of weeks ago I called MCO to see if they had us in the system and sure enough everything was hunky dory and we still had not received them. I had my DH call ME directly and talked to a very nice CM about it and she said that everything was in the system and that they still had not sent them out yet. Then she said that she was sending them out while he was talking to her and it should arrive via mail in 5-10 working days....she then said it was very smart of us to call now with the problem.

Did you book through Disney direct or through a TA? If you used a TA then the tags go to them first and they will forward them on to you.

I booked through Disney directly....can't quite understand what the holdup could be (one of the reasons that I do not go through a TA is because I want to be the first to know and get everything). The only thing I can think of is that about a month ago we switched our airline coming home so that may have made a delay. Anyhow, they do have the correct flight info in their system

That's not always true. I always book through Dreams Unlimited. My DME documents always come to my house directly from Disney. My package documents (if booking a package) come from DU.
