first trip and also a solo trip to US/IOA

So I will be in the Orlando area December 7-12 by myself (job related). I won one of those 2-park unlimited passes from the Superbowl and will be using it while there. Anyway, I had a few questions for those in the know:

1) good inexpensive motel within walking distance of Universal?

2) any of you use the superbowl pass? Do you just take a prize ticket to a ticket booth in the park?

3) What are crowds like that week?

Thanks!

I think the Doubletree is within walking distance, and I also think there's a Holiday Inn. I haven't stayed at them, but I've heard good things about the Doubletree. You need to make reservations ASAP, or you may not find anything available.

I'm guessing that you would take your pass to guest relations at the front of the park. If there is a phone number on the ticket you may want to call and make sure.

Crowds probably won't be too bad that week, but you never know. We went to Disney the first week of December a few years ago expecting it to be minimal crowds, and were really surprised to see that tons of people came expecting the same thing. If the crowds are bigger than expected, you can buy an Express Pass and go through a faster line once on each attraction.

Have a great time! I wish I'D won a pass!
