For anyone who is interested....OASIS OF THE SEAS - The DIS Discussion Forums

I know this is a DCL discussion board but I thought I would throw out there that tomorrow morning, Friday, November 20th, GOOD MORNING AMERICA (ABC) is going to be broadcasting live from the new Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. The broadcast will be from 7:00 am to 9:00 EST. It is supposed to be a spectacular ship and it may be a good way to see if a ship that large is your cup of tea nor not.

I know everyone likes to see other ships compared to the DCL ships so this may be very interesting to some. I'll be tuning in!!

The carousel horses on the Oasis were sculpted in our town of Mansfield Ohio.

Thank you! I'm setting my DVR now. We are booked on the Oasis for next November for our 40th anniversary. I can't wait!

Hmmmm. Since Disney owns ABC, I wonder how DCL feels about them promoting a competitor?

I saw the Oasis coming into Ft. Lauderdale. It's huge. And that's an understatement. It was taller than the high rise from where I watched it sail in.

While I think you'd have to pay me to sail her, it was quite a sight to see.

Thanks for the info, but its friday morning, and I already have 5 cruises booked w/ DCL till the fall of 2011, I think I'll just sleep in.

I was born/raised in Mansfield!! My parents still live in the area and every time we visit them, we take the girls to the carousel - it's beautiful!!
