Will parade taping affect MVMCP? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Did a search to find an answer to this question but could not find anything. I apologize if it is a repeat.

We will be at the World from 11/27-12-5, I was planning on surprising the family by getting tickets for MVMCP on Dec. 3(it's the only date that fits into our schedule). I've seen on some other posts that there will be taping at the Magic Kingdom on this date. Curious if anyone knows if any of this taping takes place during the Christmas party or if it is all during regular park hours? I don't want to spend the $$ for the tickets if it is going to be a madhouse on that date.

Thanks for any help anyone may be able to give!

we are going the same night, got the tickets before i knew of the taping dates.....the last time we went they did all the taping during the day, but that being said once we were there and found out that night that Trisha Yearwood was taping a special at the castle so we got to see a free concert that night! you just never really know with Disney, but thats part of their charm and magic I think! But honestly I dont think it will effect the party!

They only tape during the day, they want you to think it's live on Christmas morning. Thursday is only show taping (probably in front of the castle), not the parade.

Ok someone help me, I have read about the sold out parade tickets is this like the christmas party? What I mean is that if you don't have a ticket for that day you can't go in the magic kingdom?

That's not at all correct.

Unless you are desperate to stand in a prime spot to watch the parade taping (and not ride MK attractions,) no need to worry about who has "parade tickets" and who doesn't.

MK will be open and operating normally (except for Main Street, where they are recording the show.)
