Goofy's Kitchen breakfast > parking @ hotel?

Hi I have been lurking forever and just finally booked a very last minute trip for next week to LA for 3 days with only one day at Disney, just me and my 5yo.

I have a 7:30 reservation at Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. My question is, can I valet at Disneyland Hotel, eat breakfast, and then take monorail to the park? Or what would be the best way to get to the park from the hotel? Would I even be able to park at the hotel (the reservationist said that parking @ hotel is no problem)?

The last time I was at Disneyland was high school back in the 80's and things have changed a lot since then.

Thanks a TON in advance for everything I've learned so far from the boards! I was up until 5:30 am reading everything I could find.

I know that valet parking is free if you are eating at Goofy's, just make sure that you get your ticket validated. I seem to remember being told that there was a 3 hour time limit and then the normal valet fees would come into affect. You might want to call DL Dining to get the scoop.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on parking for the entire day, and not moving my car after breakfast. So would it be OK to keep my car in valet all day (I'm fine paying the fee) and walking from Disneyland Hotel to the park?

DL Dining has been less than helpful in my phone calls the last 2 days about my son's food allergies and weren't to be bothered about parking questions - I'm sure I just got someone new...

Any other ideas? Thanks! Counting down the hours!

If you don't want to do the valet fees, the self park - which would also be free with validation, is also available. It's only a few steps further from the valet and is easily accessible.

I also think it's perfectly fine to use the valet if you don't mind the cost. It is quite expensive compared to the regular parking. It's gone up in price quite a bit over the last 3 years.

Can anyone answer the same question for the GCH?

We are planning on Storytellers for brunch maybe before heading to the parks? How much does it cost to valet park, and do they also have self parking for the entire day?
