There appears to be a vacation ticker missing in my signature... It's not always easy being the wife of a soldier.

Flight home right after cruise

So we are planning our cruise, and part of that planning is flights back home. I know this is posted somewhere, but I can't find it-- what's the earliest flight out of MCO one can book?

I don't want to book a flight home too early and miss it but I don't want to wait around until 6pm either if I don't need to.

Thanks in advance for your advice or the direction as to where to find the information.

I can't wait to make a new ticker!

DCL recommends flights after 12pm. You can't use onboard checkin if your flight is before 11:25am.

We made an 11:25am flight last December with plenty of time to spare, but we were off the ship by 8am, had our own van transportation to the airport with an 8:30am pickup, and were at the airport by 9:30am, at the gate by 10am.

But that's all subject to the ship clearing customs on time, and no traffic issues between the port and MCO.

when we came off the magic in 2007 we didnt have a flight back to NY until 5:00pm... it was stressful sitting in the airport with a total of 7 kids... i think we got to MCO at 11:00... i would try to book something around 2ish if you can...

No Problem

We've been on 10 cruises and always gotten to the airport by 9am Now we've never hung around on the ship. No luggage to worry about and the buses are ready to roll

One thing you can do to relieve this if you have no choice -- a day room at the MCO Hyatt. You can swim, catch a nap, watch some tv, until your flight.
