Silly question about candle "tart warmers"

ok -once the sent dies out or you are sick of it -how do you get the wax out?
(without burning yourself)
I feel stupid asking

Let it cool down until the wax is semi-solid, then scoop it out with a paper-towel.

If the warmer is microwave safe, you can pop in in the microwave for maybe 30 seconds? (Mine aren't microwave safe)

Another idea is to let the (non-electric) warmer soak in a sink of HOT water - and I mean REALLY HOT! Too hot for you to put your hands into and you have to use tongs to pick up the warmer - for a few minutes. Just long enough to get the wax on the bottom to melt enough to scoop it out with a paper towel.

Best of luck!

After it cools down, pop it in the freezer for about an hour or so and the wax just slides out in solid form, then you can use it again.

Our sunday school has a stain glass window project that they use the wax for. When we are ready to change, we will let the cup cool down a bit, then pour the liquid into an empty gatoraide bottle that we have cleaned out. Everything goes in there, no mater what color or scent. Even though you aren't saving for a purpose, you could always get rid of it that way.

Freezer! It pops right out. I think I actually learned that from the DIS years ago.

I let it cool and solidify, then I pop it out with a butter knife. Sometimes it sticks and you need to put it in the freezer for a little while, then it will pop right out.

I have a little ziploc bag with all of my half used tarts in it! I like to swap and change them around all the time!

my warmers dont get that hot I guess. I just pick up the top and pour it back into the mold tat it came in.

BTW, have any of you tried the new Walmart scents? They're under $3. and really nice! I bought the spiced cider, wassail and pumpkin spice and they are all wonderful They have nice burners there too for under $20.

It may the the type of warmer I have -but I managed to slosh hot wax everywhere. I think mine must get pretty hot -and has and awkward shape for pouring
