Seriously! I'd rather wear jeans if I can get away with it. Also nursing, and my favorite nursing shirts are either 3/4 length t-shirts or a nursing tank covered by a very lightweight (sheer) but long sleeved shirt. We'll be there next week, and the weather forecast is mid-seventies with an occasional 80s, cloudy and chance of showers.
On the other hand, dressing the baby, she has a lot of summer dresses that still fit -- I'm planning to throw pants and a little sweater for her in the diaper bag. Shorts and t-shirt for 5yo DS? We're planning to head back to the hotel every day for a mid-day nap, so I can grab another layer for everyone for the evening/fireworks. Also planning on bringing stroller cover, umbrella, ponchos. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated! |

I would be uncomfortable in long pants/long sleeved shirts in the 70's and would be roasting in the 80's. If you aren't comfortable dressing like that at home - FL is no different. We are going late next week and we are taking 1 pair of pants and the rest shorts/t-shirts and 1 hoodie for cooler mornings/evenings. My kids will be dressed the same.

When it's really hot in Orlando, it's still sometimes cool in the air conditioning. A light sweater or hoodie is great to bring along. Also, it can be cool during the evening.
I guess I'd bring maybe one of everything? I'm still a bit cool when it's 70, but that's me. I'd be in capris maybe. 80 is nice and warm! I guess I'd bring along one jeans or slacks for sure for evening time. And a jacket. Last December when we went, it got quite chilly one evening, so I got a hoodie from the resort giftshop. I was glad it was on sale! It is fun to buy a new jacket or sweatshirt on vacation, but I hadn't planned on it. During the days, the 70's were so nice! Hope it's fun!

I tell you, I am soooo cold natured. We went last year at this time and are going again. We've had to buy jackets for me on more than one occasion while we were out and I swear it was not planned just so I could get more Disney attire!! We bring a little bit of everything and do the layering thing. And, like you said, bring the ponchos, too.

I might add, DH, DS13, and DS15 think I am crazy and they dress in shorts most of the time unless it is very chilly at night. So, to answer your question, yes, shorts for the young'un should be fine....most of the time...

LOL, thanks everyone! I'm in Iowa and it's been cold here, and all bundled up in long sleeve tees and sweaters, it's just so hard for me to imagine being hot! I'll dig out my shorts!

Hi! We are going to be there at the same time. I've been checking the weather, and a cold front is coming in mid-week. The evening low on Thanksgiving Day is projected to be in the mid 40's. So, bring a little of everything

AJ - my biggest advice is to dress in layers!!! if the temps are up in the 80s but down in the 40s it will be difficult to have the "perfect" outfit for the whole day!
i'm nursing now myself and i feel like ever since my son was born 5 months ago i'm HOT. ALL. THE. TIME. and i'm usually always freezing! we're going in january and i'm hoping it's not too hot (although i'm sure i'll change my tune come mid-january and it's freezing here in nyc) have fun!!!!!! LAYER!!!
