Hojos/connecting rooms

We booked two rooms and requested connecting. Now, I’m finding out that they can’t guarantee that they will be connecting

Not sure how this will work when we check in. I can’t have my two young children down the hall alone. If we have to cancel a room, will they still charge me?

Thanks for any help!

I would phone in house reservations and have them make a note on your ressie that you need connecting rooms because you have very young children. They will probably still tell you that they cannot "guarantee" that, but it is most likely they will do everything to honor that request (it's kind of a higher priority than some other requests). They usually are very good about this kind of thing - but it is best to speak to someone in house and have that on your reservation and the reason.

Definitely call IN HOUSE reservations, ask for Jennifer, Jessica or Lorealle. They will make notes and do all that they can to insure you have connecting rooms.

APs expired 1-3-2010, the girls are still good until 2-6-2010 but we have no plans for a visit before they expire. No plans for our next visit, it will be 2011 or 2012 before we head back. We've had fun DLR/DCA, we will miss you while we are gone. We took 14 trips from July 07-July 08 and around 16 from Jan 09-Jan 10.

FYI - Fairfield Inn is the only hotel that will guarantee connecting, and they'll only do that if you book through Disney.

I don't even know why they have the 1-800 number for reservations, in house is the only way to go, such better service and they know what they are talking about.
