Whispering Canyon Cafe

I have a lunch booked at WCC, but wondering if it is worth it. I thought it was a buffet, but apparently it is buffet or menu...

Anyone have good/bad reviews?

It is pretty darn sad when a valet picks you out as a big Boma eater

We had lunch there in Aug and it was gross...the food was greasy, fatty and not worth it.

It is not a buffet. It is an a la carte menu with one all you can eat selection (the skillet). This is not served buffet style - it is brought to the table and served family style. Not everyone at the table has to order the skillet, but you can't share it with anyone who didn't order it (unless that person is under 3 years old).

We love WCC.
Our experience the food was very good and the staff excellent. So you will get varying opinions.
I say if the menu appeals to you go, if not then it isn't a place for you.

DH gets the skillet and found everything to be very tasty, not fatty or greasy. I have the ribeye steak and find it to be tender and very good.

My mom and I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it was goooood.

Don't forget to ask for ketchup at your table and see what happens.......

We really love Whispering Canyon, love the BBQ and the ribs. Also they have all you can drink milk shakes! You will definately need some ketchup with your meal.

We've only been there once but we thoroughly enjoyed it as well and would like to go back on a future trip. In fact, DS13 wants to have his 14th birthday there.

Can you get the milkshakes as your drink with the Dining Plan?

My son was able to get a blueberry shake when we were on the dining plan.

DD and I just ate there a couple of weeks ago for lunch - this is her favourite must do place to eat every trip. We each had the skillet, and she had the all you can drink milkshake. We love the corn on the cob, the mashed potatoes, and be sure you ask for white meat if you like chicken breast best - they were huge and so good. DD loves the ribs, and the corn bread is great. We left stuffed but happy. And being able to gaze around the Lodge makes it even better! And our waitress was fun - she would sit and visit with us while we ate. Enjoy! Oh, and if you have DVC membership, don't forget you get 10% off of lunch!

One of our favorite places to eat. A must do for every trip and we do not have little kids. 2 teens and 2 adults. Its loud but it is so much fun. Food is good I think LeCellier is better but still a top choice for us.
