I read the paper with it opened flat on the table. The cat has some kind of radar that tells him which article I'm reading, because he always jumps up on the table and lays down exactly on top of whatever article I am reading.

My cats chew all the plastic bags in the house. Sandwich bags, grocery bags, any plastic. We can't leave any around the house. It's so annoying.

Our cat meows to be let outside, you open the door/window, then she sits there and just sniffs the air. IN or OUT!!

But I have to balance this with what I love - those "good to see you" head butts.

-Laying on the paper
-Cuddling up in something I don't want hairy (peacoat). They can jump in an open top-drawer of a dresser and cuddle up too.
-Licking plastic bags
-"Hunting" paper and then meowing incessantly after they "kill" it.

Actually those are all kinda cute except for the plastic bags. One will also try to "kill" a rubber band if she finds one but we have to catch her, because she'll actually bite it and eat pieces off. It must bounce like a mouse while she hunts it or something.

They do all sorts of annoying things but the most annoying thing has to be how they always look so cute and loveable while doing it! I never know whether to be like or like

Shredding the carpet to the floor. Why we still own him after ten years is a mystery to me.

good to see you head butts in my house lead to "YOU LEFT ME" nibbles
My one cat has the worst breath (and nothing wrong)
Making upchuck piles on my floor (which stains the carpet)

I may threaten to kick them out, but alas I love the goofy cats.

Tp.

All of my cats have this facination with toilet paper/paper towels. If we leave them out we find them in piles when we get home.

I have to agree with PP's though, the head butts tend to make up for it. And the purring. All my cats have very audible purrs and when all nine of them do it together it's just too cute.

My cat Socks the most neurotic tom cat in the world, you have to sneak up on him to cuddle him or he acts as though you are going to rip his tail out then he goes to his mum who does want to rip his tail out.
Tippy you are beautiful wilful black little queen but you have toys lay off from stealing my underwear I don't want to come home to find all my knickers in a line down the stairs (unfortunatly easy glide ikea drawers are her playground)
Queenie I know your son irritates him but let him go to the toilet without sitting on top of the box and boxing his ears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using my newer couch arms as a scratching post, eventually going to have to have reupholstered once we figure out how to stop them.

Stealing bottle caps-this is kinda funny though. Cloudy will come up a swipe it if you leave it off your water for just a second. Once bottle cap can entertain him for hours until he slides it under the fridge.

..and lastly sitting Squeaky sitting his furry butt on my laptop keys when I'm trying to type or walking on top of it and hitting random keys.

The most annoying thing is that they can't seem to throw up on the vinyl floor. It always has to be on carpet or furniture.

Ugh---hairballs, usually right where I will step off the bed.

And missing the whole 2 x 3 foot litterbox when they position themselves, so it runs down the edge of the litterbox.

Scratching to get in a room and then when I let them in scratching to get out.

Jumping in the litterbox to go the second it is clean.

Lying down on an outfit I plan to wear and getting hair on it AFTER I have just used the sticky roller to get the hair off.

Running under my feet.

Stealing my food.

Stalking my food.

Those are a few of the things they do to irritate me, but I wouldn't give them up for anything.

My cat was very vocal. He would always "brow" for supper before it was time and if we tried to ignore him, we would jump on tables and knock things over so we'd HAVE to get up. Then he would run under our feet if we walked into the kitchen and I would always trip on him!!

He alos went through phases of doing weird things and at one point, he was on a "wake us up at 4 in the morning" kick just so we'd get up and feed him.

He passed away on September 15 and I would take those annoying behaviors all day long if it meant he were still around.
