Do you think we will get our ressies in Sept. 2010

We are renting points from our friends for a sept. 2010 trip. They are DVC memebers so that is great that we will be able to dela with someone we know. However their Home resort is Keywest and we want to stay at Animal Kingdo, Kidani. I realize that we can't book any sooner then 7 months out. Do you think we will have any proble getting our ressies. I guess 7 months out would be Feb. 2010 the soonest we could book. Any thoughts?

Unless you are hoping to get the AKV-concierge level, your chances are probably good. AKV is a fairly large DVC Resort, so there are usually villas available. It will help if you are flexible about the room view, and whether you'll take Jambo or Kidani. Of course, your odds should improve if your DVC owner calls right when the 7-month window opens for your trip.

Good luck!!

I don't think you'll have any issue getting a standard view and probably a very good chance at a savannah view room. We were able to get a 2BR Std View 5 months out and even had to make some additions to a March reservation and there were still 2BR dedicated std views available during our March Break.. Sept should be a breeze.
Enjoy!

Sept tends to be a pretty slow time for WDW and DVC. We have gotten into BWV twice now on about 2m notice for that time. AKV is large, I doubt you'll have any problem getting in there unless you want concierge level.
Good luck.

Be aware that the DVC member cruise is in September so the weekend before and after it sails may be harder to get reservations. The cruise is Sept 12th.

Might want to consider booking at OKW at 11 months, and then at 7 month switching out. That way you at least have a backup plan. And let's face it, all DVC's are great if it means a vacation in Disney!!

No free dining if you are using DVC points.

We have stayed twice in Sept at AKL booking 7 months out with our choice of rooms. I don't think you will have a problem.

Free dining requires a full price room/ticket package through WDTC (Walt Disney Travel Co). You can book a DVC resort through them and get the free dining.
