Help choosing between All-Stars and Pop
We are a couple in our early 60's. We plan on staying at Disney for a few nights in February between a time-share week and a cruise. Love retirement.
![]() We've stayed a WDW at least 20 times before with our sons but we haven't been back in 4 years and now it is just us. I've stayed at most of the resorts including all of the ALL-Stars, most of the Mods, Akl(my fav) and BC and Poly. Looking to economize. Which of the values would you recommend for a couple without kids. Movies or Sports(Music was my least fav) or should we try Pop. |

I would absolutely go with POP and get a preferred room.....you have just one bus stop and the nostalgia factor is really awesome
! We stayed there a few nights in April (just DH and I) and really liked it...only down side was we could hear the toilets flushing all night

I like POP best, but only for the location. It's a super short drive or bus ride to HS and Epcot and more centrally located than the AS resorts.
Other than that, the values are the same to me....it's just a question of would you rather walk past a giant bowling pin or a giant football or giant guitar....etc.

Huge, huge thongs of them

I think you'd get a kick out of Pop Century. The various icons and memorablia they have around the resort is very fun and will bring back some funny memories.
I think it has the best food court on property. Its very centrally located which is nice. It has two quiet pools vs. the one quiet pool each of the All Stars has which I like. If you don't go with Pop, I'd recommend Sports. But it can be full of groups of kids. I prefer Music over Sports, so if you didn't like Music, I'd go with Pop. Movies is fun, very Disney but is always chock full of families with little kids and its rooms desparately need a refurb. Give Pop a try, we love it! |
