How are the crowds in April
We just booked an anniversary trip for mid to late April. We have never gone at this time of the year before and I was just curious as to how the crowds are this time of year. Thanks in advance for the help.

It's busy because of Spring Break but it's not horrible. Early April is busier because of Easter - it can get crazy. We're going in April & can't wait! Weather is usually great - sunny & warm.

We're trying mid to late April ourselves for the first time. We're used to early to mid November (before Thanksgiving) which means lower crowds, so I'm anxious to hear any replies you may received.

Find out when New England is on Spring Break. We went in April two years ago and thought we "cleared" Easter weeks, but we were sadly mistaken. I hope it's not as busy for you, but we'd never go back in April.

And you're from Mass. so you should be able to find out when the schools up there are on Spring Break?
Good luck!

Depending on your definition of "mid-late" you should avoid the major crowds (they are around Easter). This poll will give you an idea of school breaks.

We are going April 17-25. We live in Massachusetts and that is the week of spring break here. I'm also hoping that people near me are choosing to go other places than WDW

I went end of April/beginning of May this year, and it really wasn't at all crowded (or so it seemed to me). The longest line I waited in was TSM, which was about 50 min. to an hour. Use FastPasses and you'll be fine.

The week before Easter, and the week after Easter are super, super busy to the point of full capacity. After Easter can be pretty calm! I think most northern schools take spring break right around Easter no matter what, southern schools take their spring break in mid march.

We were there the last week of April this past spring and as one who does not like crowds I thought it was quite manageable. We usually go in early May and there didn't seem to be that much of a difference. It was nice to go this time. The weather was still comfortable but warm enough to swim.
We stayed at BCV which was beautiful but we were there during one of the Grad Night weekends and heard the fireworks at midnight (or later) both nights which were pretty loud because they had the grad night at HS. I did notice a pick up in crowds during the weekend with the seniors in WDW but it was still ok. I'd go again during that time.
