We just got back from a week at BWV and had a great time as always. Now, we were there the week of Veteran's Day and the crowds were very manageable, if not on the low side, to us. We went to two EMH nights, one at DS and the other at MK, and it was practically empty
. On our way to the airport on DME, we had a couple say the crowds were unusually low for this time of year as they attend at this time regularly. I know Disney reported a 7% decrease in attendance over the past year so maybe that is correct. So, we are considering our plans for next year and have thought about the first week of December because that is the lowest DVC points use time and the Christmas decorations should be at full glory. But, we are concerned that the weather, one month later, will not be as nice, it was great this trip. The offset would be the lowest crowd levels based on how DVC lists its point usage. Okay, long talk, now question, were the crowd levels lower then usual for November and can we expect low crowds the first week of December ? Sorry, I guess that was two questions.

I look at it this way: If attendance is off 7% that means a crowd of a 100,000 is now 93,000. I don't think I'd notice the difference

We were in WDW in November of 2008 the week before Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. Wait times were 5-20 min. and the weather was very nice. I don't know about the crowds this year but last year they were VERY low. My friends family on the other hand goes every year the first week of December and says the crowds are usually pretty low. But last year when they went the first week of December she said crowds we higher that she has EVER seen them! So they decided to take a year off from WDW this year and vacation somewhere else this year the first week of December. It could have been just bad planning though, you never know how the crowds will truley be until your there...Good luck!
