Just confirming: Can I Use DDP TS Credit While Mom Pays OOP for Appetizer Only?

I'm sure that I'm repeating a question, but I just want to be SURE I understand correctly. If we go to a Signature Restaurant (2 Credits) but my mom wants 2 appetizers for dinner instead of an entree, can I use just 2 TS credits for my entree/dessert meal, and my mom pays OOP for her 2 appetizers?

Just want to be confirm that we don't both have to use DDP credits even if we're eating together.

I paid OOP last year for apps while the rest of my family had full meals and used the credits. I think you will be fine. You will need to tell the waiter when ordering.

Just mention it to the waiter. App's aren't covered on the DDp so they would have to charge you. Look at the receipt to be sure you aren't charged for the extra adult.

Yes. If they had a rule that everyone at a table had to be on DDP, it would turn away many groups who are not staying together but are eating together. Disney isn't interested in doing that. Just make sure the server knows right away who is paying with the dining plan and who isn't so they can split the checks properly.

Our IL's live in Daytona and each year over the past 4 years they come over to join us for at least 3 meals during our trip, never had a problem, let the CM know and they will give you split checks.

There are also times when myself and DH while both on the dining plan, will only use 1 credit at a TS.

I will order an appetizer and drink and pay out of pocket, he will use his credit on the dining plan. We will share the appetizer, the entree, then share the desert.
