Please help me decide...hotels and packages...

Firstly hello all...newbie here, although i've been lurking for a while.

I'm planning our 4th trip for next Feb (1/2 term)...it's all a big surprise for my 2 sons (aged 4 and 8) and my partner as their xmas present!

Anyway, it's been a while since we last went and I need advice...i've loked at various offers and have kind of narrowed it down to either My Explorers (we stayed here last time and loved it) or Sequoia Lodge?

Sequoia Lodge, through Disney only costs £38 punds more than My Explorers once i've added tickets etc...so what would be the better hotel? The one reason i don't just jump at going back to My Explorers is it would be nice to avoid the shuttles and walk it. Also, would it be worth paying an extra £250 for full board for 2 adults, 2 children for 3 nights/4 days?

Phew, end of all the questions.

TIA

It's a close one but I think the Extra Magic Hours would swing it for me and the closer proximity to the park. However, Feb is not likely to be busy - are you planning to cover the weekend or go during the week.

Is the full board lunch and dinner HB+?

Hi Scott, we'll be going on a Wednesday, leaving on a Saturday. The meal option is Full board plus meal vouchers if that makes any sense?

The meal vouchers seem to be lunch and dinner eating in the same restaurants as the half-board plus that I had. I think the £250 for full board seems pretty reasonable.

With regards to hotels, the EMH is not really a factor now as you will miss wed EMH and only have sat, assuming of course that EMH is still mon, wed, sat and sun when you go.

However, personally I think it is worth the extra £38 to stay at the SL and be able to walk to/from the hotel. Also, in the hotel you will get the daily character visits which you wont see at the Explorers.

You got me worried then as we are going in Feb half term but haven't decided yet on Sun 14th to Wed or Wed to Sat - it was definitely daily in Feb half term this year

Just checked the main site and EMH is daily from 9th Feb

For £38, I would definitely go for Sequoia Lodge.
