Dream - Category 4 question
We were completely spoiled on our 4-night trip in August on the Wonder. Category 4 (8088) near the back of the ship. Easy access to deck 9 via the rear stairs - an ideal location.
Want to book a 5-night on the Dream and would like your opinions on which deck you would suggest. All Cat 4s are midship (I believe) and are located on decks 6 through 10 (again, what I believe). We will be traveling with our two daughters, ages 12 and 8 at the time we sail. Both are active and really enjoyed all aspects of the ship - the pools, the club/lab, etc. Suggestions for which deck, and why? Please? Thanks in advance, Kevin |

Personally I like being by the aft elevators/stairs. You seemed to find that location convenient too, so request on of the Cat. 4 rooms near the aft elevators (there are some that are pretty close). As far as which floor, I'd go for 10 if the price difference doesn't matter, but it depends on your preferences. We avoid elevators at all costs so I found being on 6 (sort of in the middle) on the Magic was good for us--easy to get to the pools, easy to get to the restaurants, theaters. From deck 10 to deck 3 or 4 is quite a hike. We chose a Cat. 5 aft stateroom on deck 6 for that reason.

We got a cat 4, concierge. I think it is at the front of the ship. The other thing is that it is on deck 12. There is a private sun deck on deck 13 with mist devices and drinks. come in and join us.

I believe you are actually talking about a Cat. V. The Cat. 4 staterooms aren't concierge to my knowledge and they're on decks 6 - 10.

You are absolutely correct. It has been very difficult for me to distinguish between a cat 4 and a cat V. Rooms are about the same. Price, however, is not. When we made the ressies, I didn't have a lot of information. Anyhow,,, come on in and join us. I ended up spending a lot of time making sure that we really wanted deck 12 and the perks with DCL.
