Proud of my Daughter

I just wanted to share how proud I am of my daughter. She has been taking exams early all week because we are leaving for Disney tomorrow. Her Dad just took her to take her driving road test and she passed with flying colors! I am so proud of her for pulling it all together and helping around the house and handling all the pressure

Good job to your DD!

I used to teach high school and I always encouraged kids to take tests before leaving for a vacation. Sure enough, kids that did that always performed much better than the kids who waited until the day they got back. With exams she probably didn't have a choice in the matter, but I bet she'll do great. And now, she can enjoy vacation and not have that hanging over her head.

My older daughter had to take her midterms a week earlier than the rest of her class - she was competing with her team out of state at Nationals, and she felt it was better to get everything taken care of before she left for the week. I know she enjoyed being away without any homework to deal with, and the other girls on her team were jealous that she had a lot more free time. Actually, she ended up tutoring a few of the other girls in math that week

To the OP - congratulations on raising a wonderful young adult! She couldn't have gotten there without your support and guidance!

Good for her! She is lucky they let her take the midterms early. The high school where I teach does not allow that for any reason. They have to take them when they get back. Otherwise the student who takes it early can tell all of the other kids what is on the exam.

We are very lucky with our school policies! She took her biology exam today. I'm sure they swore her to secrecy. Of course they go over all the study materials and stuff so they pretty much know whats on the exam anyway. Maybe not the exact questions though.

I am counting down. I have around 45 min until I get to leave work to finish last minute stuff so we can get on the road.
