Seriously how magical is this?

Ok so we went on a fabulous 3 ½ week vacation. The first few days in DW and then a 7night on the magic. At the end of the first Magic cruise, I packed one of my suitcases with all my cruise stuff so that for the following week in DW I would not have to even get in that suitcase. So when we checked in at POP my friend put it in the back of the closet. We had 3 adults in our room (we all had 2 big suitcases, 3 carry on’s and 3 Large purses.) and then my sister and her family in the adjoining room. So we spent 7 great nights there. On the following Saturday we pulled all the suitcases into the front of the room and 3 people took them down to the renal cars (we had one camaro and a mini van). After we are all loaded we head off to some flea markets and outlets, stop to pick up beer and soda for the next week cruise. Around 2:45 we have now returned the rental cars, are on the car shuttle to the ship. My phone rings at 2:55 with a private number listed. “Hi this is Pop Century Lost and found we think you left something behind in the room” I am a little confused at this point and I said, I’m sorry who is this??? She repeated it and then said we found a large black suit case with green duct tape. My mind starts racing, we are 45 minutes from DW and all aboard is in 1 hour no exceptions… I said to her we are just about to get on the Disney Magic and we will be back at the POP on Saturday. She says OK we will hold it til then and then hangs up. My head starts spinning and then I start to freak out, I told my friend and she goes “OMG I never got it out of the closet when I got all our suitcases, I’m so sorry” I have trouble breathing and I said “OH No all my cruise clothes, and swim suits are in that bag, the only thing in the suitcase I have is 5 tank tops and 3 pairs of shorts, not a single pair of pants.” Now I am a plus size woman around a size 4x so I am not the size where I can just pick up some extra clothes and no one is close to my size to borrow from in my party. We get off the shuttle at the port and I feel like I am about to cry! I tried to help get our luggage off the shuttle but turn to my friend and said I need to go sit down. So I am sitting on the bench with my head between my knees because I feel like throwing up and crying. One of the porters comes over and asks what’s wrong and I start to tear up telling him. He tells me that I need to go upstairs to check in and talk to a supervisor. He helps me get through security super fast and up stairs. After telling the supervisor she tells me she will see what she can do, and to go back to my party and check in. At this point there is nothing left for me to do. I mean after all this is not Disney’s fault, we didn’t use their transportation, we were the ones who waited to board at 3pm, 1 hour from all aboard and I just slowly embrace that I will be going to the restaurants in shorts and tank top (I know super taboo). So after we finished checking in, the supervisor comes over to me and said I just got off the phone and your suitcase is now on a truck on the way over, it will be here before we set sail! I got goosebumps and I was yelling “OMG seriously” and she was like yes and I got tears in my eyes and started to thank anyone around us.

So we board the cruise at 3:15 go to our room. We down to the Lifeboat drill and then after head back to the room. There sitting in the room before we set sail was my suitcase! Seriously how magical was that. They went out of their way to save my cruise! I couldn’t wait to get back to write a letter to Management about this!

Another example of the great Disney service! You're right, it wasn't their fault. However, they went the extra mile to make it right for you. Glad you had a great trip!

That is FANTASTIC news!!! I was thinking this was going to go in an ugly direction. This is why we cruise DCL over and over.

On the opposite note, we left one of our bags at Budget on the way home and the lady was like, it MIGHT cost about $185 to ship it to you. It took about a week or so to get, and it was supposed to be COD. We had other issues w/ them and a carseat, so I had already complained. When UPS dropped off the bag, I unwillingly grabbed my check book even though it too was our fault. The driver says, there is no charge. Just because it had taken them a long time to send it back to us. Whew!!! Glad you had a happy ending. They want to make the experience as Magical as possible!

After reading this maybe my precruise nightmares, of forgetting stuff and getting to port and realizing I don't have it, will go away.
