Day room at the Hyatt Regency Orlando

Has anyone actually rented a room at the Hyatt Regency for the day while waiting for a flight? I have heard that you can do it but wondered if anyone had actually done it. Do you know how much, approximately, the room was? I would call but I don't see a 800 number.

Thanks
Patty

Yep, did it last year - it was awesome. Can't recall how much it was - do recall I thought it was worth every penny. I just called the hotel direct and made the reserve, no problem.

Yes, we did it last year. The room was $89.00, so with tax it was around $100.

It worked out great, highly recommend it. We all took a swim in the pool, and relaxed in the room. I think 3 of us even got a nap in. Then it was only a short walk to our gate to check-in for the flight. Great way to end the vacation.

The numbers on my room invoice are (407) 825-1300 and (800) 233-1234. Ask specifically for the "Day Rate Room".

We weren't planning on it, but DW was feeling bad after we got off the ship. We were able to get a room without a reservation. Well worth the money.

It sounds like something I might like to do. I probably wouldn't want to make a reservation as it is always possible that I wouldn't get to the airport as early as I expect to. Last time I cruised I was at the airport by 10-if that happens again I will certainly want to get the day-room.

Where do you go to see if a room is available? I don't remember seeing the entrance to the hotel when I was at the airport before.

Totally loved it! We had a chance to re-pack some things so they all weighed under 50lbs. Took a nap. Grabbed some lunch and watched TV. Soooo much more relaxing than waiting around in those uncomfortable seats at the gate.

If I remember correctly, the lobby is located on Level 4 near the fountain and food court.

We've done it... and I have a day room set up for our Feb cruise. Much better waiting there than sitting in the terminal!

Our flight does not leave until 5PM!

You have to contact them directly to book it.

I think it was around $89, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. On our first cruise, we waited around the airport from 10am until 5pm, waiting for our flight...with luggage!

The last time, we had Disney transfers, so we had no luggage (just our backpacks), a room, and a pool (because of the dayroom)...and it was sooooooo much better.

My parents just did this in Oct. They loved it. Our flight was changed from a non stop to connecting so we opted to take a later non stop. Dh and I took the kids to Universal for the day w/friends so we rented a car at the port but my parents wanted to nap and the room was perfect for them.
It was $89 from 10 am to 6 pm.

We did it this past Oct, $89 and totally worth it for our family of 5 (with 3 children under age 6). All our kids napped, we swam and ate and relaxed. I only wish I had realized was that the pool was unheated and we were there on an overcast windy day. If i had known that I would not have gotten the kids dressed to go swimming and had to deal with the wet suits, etc as we were not in the pool for very long.

When I called to make a reservation., they insisted that it was not necessary. It made me nervous to not have the reservation, but she said they always have day rooms available.

longer day

Has anyone had a much later flight than 5 or 6 pm say a 9pm flight. could you still get a day room or did you have to get a full night for that long?

Our flight was 7:30 but my parents had to be out of the room by 6 pm. Perhaps you could request a late checkout time?
