Can I pay the tips that you leave for each person with disney rewards? We will be traveling 9 days to FL prior to our cruise and I don't normally bring more than $100 cash with me, I don't want to leave cash in envelopes in my suitcase. I don't really want to charge then to my visa but I guess I could. TIA. D

Yes, you can use Disney rewards dollars. What you do is to charge the tips and then pay off the charge with the reward dollars. I usually do both at the same time so I'm not paying more toward the account than I am using. This is all accomplished at Guest Services.

This is REALLY cool. We had $51 left on our Disney Rewards card from our May '08 cruise. FORTUNATELY my 2 year old dumped my wallet the other day and I realized they were expiring in Dec. '09. We are cruising in Apr. 2010. I called and they said I could go to my reservations on Dreams Unlimited and just use it to pay either on my final payment or onboard credit which can be used for tips. I got online, put them on my obc and got a notice that it was taken care of! Woohoo! Very excited. You can also calculate how much you will need for tips ahead of time, then add accordingly if you'd like. Just pay ahead, then you won't have to take money. I have never put cash in the envelopes, but we do use our debit card as the card on hold.
