POR trundle bed room locations

we have a reservation for 2 adults & 3 children so i assume they will atuomatically put us in a room with a trundle bed. where are these rooms located? are they spread out throughout the resort or in just one or two buildings? are these buildings preferred locations?
thanks,
mikewdw

While I have not stayed at POR I would call the resort itself and request a room with a trundle bed.

Phone 407-934-6000

As from Allearsnet.com's page about POR

Alligator Bayou lodges are a more rustic, backwoods cottage setting, featuring 16 smaller two-story Cajun-style buildings with charmingly rustic wooden furniture and settings. In addition, the rooms in Alligator Bayou contain a trundle bed that will sleep a child bringing the room occupancy total to 5. The Trundle Bed is intended to accommodate children under 9; or persons under 5 feet tall. They are narrower than a conventional bed.

When we last stayed at POR, only rooms in the Aligator Bayou section had the trundles.

If there are 5 people in your party, you will automatically be assigned a trundle bed room. No need to request one. All trundle bed rooms are located in the Alligator Bayou section of POR.

BTW, calling any of the published resort numbers will connect you to a call center, not the resort itself. They'll answer "Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort", but it is a call center. Disney is a little different from other hotel chains in that it centralizes its operations. If you want to request a certain floor at the Marriott Marquis in NYC, for example, you can call the hotel directly. Disney resorts won't even see your reservation until a few days before you arrive. All requests, changes, etc. are handled through central reservations at the 407-WDISNEY number.

are the trundle beds only in one building or are they spread out through AB. with 3 small children access to food court etc is worth it for us to pay for preferred building if they have the trundle.
thanks

They are spread out throughout AB. If you want a building in AB close to the food court, you will have to note that on your reservation. That would be either building nos. 14, 15 or 18. You need to call Disney reservations to place that request; nothing is guaranteed - so be less specific. Ask for any of those three buildings; especially if you are going on a busy week.

When you pay for a preferred room at POR, it is a water view room anywhere throughout the resort, not a trundle room only.

There's no Preferred booking category at POR; that category only exists at the values and CBR. Your only options at POR are standard view or water view, and neither of those categories relate to the room location in any way.

In other words, there's no booking category you can reserve that will guarantee you a room closer to the food court. Sorry.
