Must sees in WDW during holidays?
We are taking a very last minute trip to WDW for the Thanksgiving break. We have taken our family, including 3 boys 11, 8, and 3, many times so we have done most of the shows, parades, etc.
![]() Since it is holiday time, I assume it will be very crowded. What suggestions do you have for must sees? I am specifically looking for things we don't get to see in off holiday time. We only have 2-3 park days so I want to make the best use of our time. I assume Santa will be there? Thanks in advance for ideas!

I don't know if they will have all of the Christmas stuff up yet during Thanksgiving, but if they do, then absolutely Epcot. Most of the countries in World Showcase decorate with Christmas traditions from their homeland. Many of them have their "Santas," and it is a really neat time to hear about how other countries celebrate the Holidays.
The Osborne lights at DHS are must-see, as well. And (of course) the afternoon Christmas Parade at the MK (if it has started yet).

Epcot's Holidays Around the World starts on Nov. 27th. so if you're here you should check it out.
The Osborne Lights at DHS are amazing, they are running on now. The christmas parade at MK doesn't happen at 3pm you can see all the holiday shows, fireworks and parade if you go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ( a separate ticket event) Check out the resort decorations, the Giant Gingerbread House is up and running at the Grand Floridian.

Illuminations at Epcot has a special holiday ending. I'm not sure when that starts though.

"Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime" Parade
Dec. 19-24: 3 p.m. Dec. 25 - 31: Noon & 3:30 p.m. http://www.christmasinorlando.com/ch...p18_eventid/13 Unfortunately, the OP won't be there during those weeks, but it is important to point out that the Christmas parade is indeed during the daytime for those two weeks, and you don't have to purchase a separate ticket for MVMCP to see the parade (provided you visit during those two weeks).

Like one of the PPs said, Osbourne lights at DHS is a must and going on now. The Santas around the World at Epcot, too. We also enjoy hopping on the monorail and going to all the deluxe resorts and looking at decorations. Make sure you take a boat from the Contemporary on over to the Wilderness Lodge as it really looks nice all decorated for Christmas. We are going to check out the inside of the Boardwalk and Beach Club Villas this time as I understand they are beautiful as well. However, I have not seen the inside of those yet as many times as I've been... Sometimes, you forget to stop and smell the roses and I'm realizing how often I have done just that!
