Question Okay, never saw this before at OKW

We came back to our room at OKW last week one for lunch and saw something I've never seen in many, many stays at OKW. A Disney Security Officer was walking through our parking lot (building 15) with a clip board looking at parking passes in vehicles and checking them off on his clip board.

I'm happy to dance with you
I have 2 opinions
We had tried usual things to keep them away, including something like coyote urine, it is sold in hardware stores by us

I also noticed this on our trip a few weeks ago.

I saw them do this several times a few weeks ago in the parking lot at the AKL.

Interesting...we just got back from a very quick 2 night stay at POP Century and sure enough...security guy in the parking lot checking parking passes. I've never seen that before and have been to Disney probably 50 times. Maybe it was a "thing" last week? Or something they're really going to step up on? Good for them, whatever it was!

Bravo! Bravo! We have been appalled by the results of obvious vandalism we saw at OKW our last two visits. At Christmas we noticed a rail from the frame on the posted Bus schedule had obviously been broken off and one of the paddles on a ceiling fan in the Turtle Pond Bus Stop was broken off. When we returned in the spring the same wood frame was damaged further and a second paddle was broken off the ceiling fan. How can DVC keep up with renovations when they can't keep up with unscheduled repairs resulting from vandalism? Hopefully a visible security force will discourage, if not eliminate the rash of vandalism to our DVC home away from home.

Probably doing a survey to see how much money they can make if they take away the "privilege" of free resort parking. Similar to free valet, taking it away will mean only those who choose to have cars will get charged for it.

The presence of security at the resort other than at the gate is a good thing.

my brother stayed at OKW last week
went to visit and expected to be ask questions. Well my parking permit from BLT (which was several days old at the time) was enough for the guard to waive me though.

think he was too busy during something (computer) to do his job.

so don't feel to safe at OKW.

really think the security guard at the gate should look more carefully.
