Do we get something from Carnation Cafe??

I just booked a PS for the actual day of my birthday at Carnation Cafe, and my mom's which is 5 days later. The CM wanted to know our names and ages. Do we get something special for our birthdays?? I know about the whole get in free thing, but do you get special things at restaurants too?

Some restaurants will give you a free dessert on your b-day Happy Birthday in advance and enjoy your trip!

Nothing too special on your birthday. We have been there twice this Nov. already for my kids' birthdays. They brought out a scoop of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream on top and Mickey head confetti sprinkles. Our server sang happy b-day with us. I thought that more of the staff would sing, but nope. I'm not sure if they would have even gotten the ice cream unless I asked about it. That said, our server was nice, I love eating at the CC and the loaded baked potato soup is to die for.

You might get lucky, and like the PP said get a scoop of Ice cream. Some, and I am really emphisizing some of the dining venues MIGHT give you a dessert for the birthday person only free, and it's mainly just a plain chocolate cupcake at pretty much all places. I wouldnt get my hopes up on getting anything extra free because most of the dining places, and hotels offer things for order/extra money for birthdays therefore most don't offer anything free.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't expecting anything at all, I just thought it was weird that the Disney Dining guy was so interested in our birthdays and how old we were going to be.

We LOVE the CC. I always get the loaded baked potato soup if we go in the winter. It keeps my family coming back for more. Last year we met the main chef guy (forget his name??) who has been there forever. He came and talked to us for a few minutes.

*sigh* I love Disneyland.

On our last trip to DLR, we were celebrating our anniversary somewhat late. We got a free dessert to share at the Blue Bayou. You definitely do get something at most places!

Oscar is a very sweet man...has a breakfast named after him too. We celebrated my bday and a friend's bday and we both received free desserts. That was nice and anything is appreciative especially during these times.

Isn't he just the nicest person??! We got to visit with him when we were there in Sept. He sat right down with us and chatted. He even gave us an autographed copy of the Potato Soup recipe. Such a nice man and he knows everyone.

Yes he is! I was so mad at myself for not getting a picture with him the last time we saw him, so I made sure to get one this time!

We were celebrating DD's b-day and didn't get anything (and they did ask when I booked the seating). DH and I also didn't get anything in September when we were there celebrating our anniversary. Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans were the only places we got something.
