Opinions on Super Brownie Pan As Seen on TV
Does anyone have personal experience with the super brownie pan that you see on tv that "cuts" the brownies for you as you bake it? I'm wondering if the insert pan thing gets stuck easily and makes for messy brownies. Or does it come out clean like they show on TV???
My 14y.o. DD loves to make brownies and I thought this might be a fun Christmas present for her. (Not her only present.) I know, these pans are totally unnecessary. Please don't tell me to just cut the brownies!!! Its for my 14 y.o.! I think she would like it!!! Maggie

I think if you would spray them before hand I don't think they would stick

I think it looks neat, but I have been making brownies in muffin pans, and they come out great, so I don't think I could buy a pan just for this.
Maybe get dd a muffin pan for cupcakes and brownies (!) and a kit for frosting cakes/cupcakes/brownies -- isn't that the most fun anyway?!

I love brownies, but always make such a mess cutting them. I do want one of the new pans though, if they worked.

If you cut brownies with a plastic knife you'll get clean cuts! I like the idea of baking brownies in a muffin tin - good idea!

I saw it demonstrated on the "deal or dud" segment of the evening news and they proclaimed it a deal - no sticking and every brownie came out perfect. They did use non-stick cooking spray on the insert.

MSN had an article about "As seen on TV" stuff a few weeks ago, that reviewed it. They said it worked quite well. I think they were a bit shocked that it did work.
I almost bought one a couple weeks ago, just because I wanted to try. However, I decided it would be a waste for us because I don't generally make stuff like that. Good luck with it!

We got one about 2 months ago and I've used it a lot. IT WORKS REALLY WELL!!!! I always spray the pan and insert before using it to bake. I got mine for 13.99 and free shipping from a site that sells 'tv' stuff...I went back to buy my mom one about 3 weeks ago and the price went up.
I've also used it for cake. I baked a cake about 2 weeks ago (yeah, like cupcakes- just square)..then I stacked them (using a lemon custard filling)- three high. Then, I frosted them and they looked really neat and everyone thought they were cool...I used a decorator frosting and decorated them with hearts and flowers. |

A friend of mine has this. I watched her use it a couple of weeks ago. As long as you spray the entire insert, it comes out cleanly and the brownies are perfect!

I have one! My Mom sent it to my Son because he loves brownies. We really like it. It does come out easily. I have always sprayed it and *IMPORTANT* you have to let the brownies cool a little bit before you pull it out.
We like it, though.

It's funny how so many kids want this. My DD14 flipped out when she first saw it. Judging by the reviews, looks like I can safely add it to the list!
