so does anyone know when is it? can I just go to the park that day and be part of the crowd? I would really like to do this this year!

dec 3 & 4 for staged performances at the castle and town square, dec 5 for the parade. you probably can, but no guarantees

I am hoping that there is NO TAPING of parades or anything during my visit to WDW...Nov. 25-Dec. 2!!?? Is there?? Please say no! LOL

Can't guarantee about "anything."

I could be wrong but I thought last year they gave out some sort of tickets to AP holders for the parade taping. Not sure about this or if they are doing that this year.

unless you have admission specifically for the parade (sign-ups are now closed), I wouldn't bother. those folks line up as early as 5 or 6 am and are led in before the park opens. i would only try to get there at 8 for the sake of being at rope drop. beyond the turnstiles opening, you're on your own trying to get involved in the show.

although based on last year, that wouldn't be too difficult.

They have those who are an actual part of the crowd
recruited by the TV production company
(those guests are given special advance "tickets")
Plus, there are usually guests who can just
walk up to see the show (such as it is.)

Those who are walk-ups may or may not be seen on the finished TV show.

THere were sign-ups for those valued spots along Main St as well as the audience for the Castle forecourt shows...so those 'great' spots may very well be taken by the time you get there. Those people have been let into the park around 7:15 or so (at least that was my experience) in order to be put into place. Then, as they got tired and drifted away, the general public filled in spots.
Not sure exactly how they are doing it this year..like I said, they had signups a few weeks ago and all available spots were taken. So, not sure about those who show up at park opening, hoping to get a spot for the tapings.

any ideas on who will be performing at the stage or castle yet? For future notes, when did the sign ups happen for entry to the parade?

I'm confused. Isn't the parade taping for the purpose of editing and showing it on TV. Therefore the televised one is the taped one. They may have a parade on Christmas but I doubt it would be televised. Am I way off on this one?

The one that is televised on Christmas day will be taped on December 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Your confusion may have come from the texasteacher35 post, who was asking about the 25th and beond.

But that trip is happening on NOV. 25 thru Dec. 3.

sign ups!! where was the sign ups!! bah hmmm...then probably I can just show up and hopefully get a spot somewhere that my son can see..I'm assuming its a long long parade...but I think some of the parade was at Disneyland too..I just want to see the Imagination Movers.....hopefully they are in the orlando parade.
