Characters in Flight

Has this started yet? And if so, has anyone done it? The disney webpage has a link to purchase tickets, but when I click the link, I can't seem to find the tickets under any of the categories.

Thanks for your input in advance

1- Yes.
2- WAIT to buy your tickets until you are actually at the ride location (it will take just a minute.)

BECAUSE... the balloon rides are subject to WIND and other weather conditions.

I dont know about purchasing tickets online but you can get them when you get there... it should not be a problem. Just know this is weather based. If it is too windy it wont go up. I believe its $15.00 per adult.

I think it's been open a few months now. We did it in September.

There wasn't any queue to buy tickets and we got straight on the balloon as it was ready to go on the next flight, so I'd suggest not buying them in advance because I don't think it gets overly busy.

We did a daytime flight and it was quite enjoyable, you can see Spaceship Earth and the Contemporary from the top, although it's not a long flight (maybe 4 mins to go up, 3 mins at top, and 4 mins back down)

The captain told us to keep our reciept as they offer discount if you buy more tickets at a later date, although we never did, but I'd imagine a night flight looks really good as well (they do firework flights but these are buy in advance I think and limited)

Awesome. I'm pretty excited about this. I love the little things Disney does to spice up our relationship

My family and I did this. There wasn't a big line, and we got on the next balloon. It was fun. My kids love it. We also had a daytime flight. We want to go back and do an evening one.

Yes, it was a joke. We head down a few times a year, and there is always something new for us to do.

We just did this on Saturday. It was great! They did say it was the first time the balloon had been up in 11 days because of wind. I think he said the threshold is 20mph - anything above that they don't go up. We were borderline - they were down to 12 people each time (from 20 or something) and it was a bumpy ride, but still fun. El Cheapo DH even enjoyed it (probably because they let 3 yo DS on for free so we only had to pay for the 2 of us).
