Trying to Decide on my last Restaurant
Please post a message stating why you chose what you did and if you vote Teppan Edo do they keep things separate?
I already have Raglan Road, Biergarten, Ohana, Sci Fi, Tutto Italia, 50s PTC, WCC and Planet Hollywood for Apps. I was thinking either: Liberty Tree Tavern Beaches n Cream (leaves us a bit flexible as cant make an ADR) Tony's Town Square Marrakesh Yak N Yeti or Teppan Edo (what fiance wants) I'm a bit concerned about Teppan Edo but I put it in the list anyways I have an Epi Pen for if I come in Contact with Mushrooms or Shell Fish (crab shrimp etc) and a hibachi grill is a great place for Cross Contamination. I would have picked TeppenEdo but I would be nervous about the cross contamination as well so I chose Marrakesh. It is something a little different from the "normal" fare. I didn't care for Tony's and you are eating at Tutto so I eliminated that one. Yak & Yeti was just Ok for us so I couldn't whole heartedly recommend that one. And Liberty Tree to me is just "meh" now that the characters are gone!

I have eaten at Yak & Yeti, Tony's, and Liberty Tree Tavern out of the ones on your list. Had great meals at all of them!! Yak & Yeti was the big stand-out for me though. We loved everything about our meal there!!! It gets my vote. I tried Tony's for a solo lunch on my departure day last month despite all the bad reviews I've read. It was very good and the service was excellent. Liberty Tree Tavern is much better for lunch that dinner, IMO. Good luck with your decision!!

I believe that I read a post from someone with allergies that ate at Teppan Edo & they cooked his/her food elsewhere on an "allergy grill." So they sat & ate with their companions, the food they consumed was allergy safe. But don't quote me on that -- it's a fuzzy memory. (I have infant twins most memories are fuzzy!)
Check on the DisAbilities forum for more info on doing Disney w/ food allergies, it's a common topic & they have the name & email of the person to contact with specific questions .& concerns, tBrenda something I think (again fuzzy)

We ate at Teppan Edo in Sept. and one woman at our table requested no mushrooms. The Chef immediately asked her if it was a food allergy, so he could accommodate that if needed. It wasn't, so he just left the mushrooms out of her entree.
So I think they are quite prepared to deal with any allergies. You should always mention the allergy when you make your ADR and the chef at each restaurant will come out and discuss your needs before you order. |

Teppan Edo is nice, and does have the wonderful allergy grill (which is awesome).
I, however, voted for Restaurant Marrakesh. Depending upon where you live, you may not normally have access to delicious North African cuisine (and the cookbook for the restaurant is very inexpensive, so even if you don't go, I recommend that you pick it up). Most larger towns and cities have restaurants very similar to Teppan Edo (I've actually had far better here in Tampa). I've tried Tony's Town Square many times (I keep wanting to give it a chance), but have been rather unimpressed with the quality of food served there. Yak & Yeti has lovely theming and the menu is very good, but again, one can often find these foods in one's hometown. As for Liberty Tree, I have not dined there since it shifted from being a Character Dining, so I can't speak to that. |

I voted for Marrakesh. We love this restaurant. Also if you have an allergy contact Disney ahead of time so that it is noted on your reservation and the chef will be prepared to talk to you and walk you through the menu explaining if there is anything you can not have or might have cross contamination.
My DS has an allergy to food colorings and cannot have any red or yellow food coloring. Generally we stick to whole foods for him but you never know without asking or reading labels.

thanks everyone... we don't have character meals as last trip we did only character meals except for one meal..though I love Characters I just wanted a different expereince this time. It also is my fiance's first trip and he is unsure about Disney I want to show him its not just for kids
aka he's a party pooper and said no character meals that I am accustomed too!I'm thinking Marrakesh he's from Cali and they have loads of hibachi grills (he just has a penchant for them) but he lovess couscous so I'll sell him on Marrakesh! I only have an Ethiopian restaurant in my area but it seems like apples an oranges.

I went to Merrakesh this past January and it was the first time I ate Moroccan food. I loved it. At least in my area, authentic Moroccan is hard to find, so this was a treat. The lamb was amazing, totally tender and falling off the bone, and couscous was great. Plus the setting/atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend it.
