Convince me that I' won't miss MVMCP

We always go in December and go to MVMCP but this year we are actually going over Christmas so we will be going too late for MVMCP. We really enjoy the party and I feel that we are missing out this time around. Will we still see snow on Main Street and the holiday parade? What about the free hot chocolate and cookies?? And Holiday Wishes?

We went to the MVMCP last year and thought that is was way to crowded for the extra cost you have to pay. So we will not be going back for the party. We too really enjoy the holiday parade and holiday wishes. This year we are also going back the week after Christmas and yes, the parade and wishes goes through Jan. 2.

How about $52 per adult and $46 for a 3-9 y.o.? For me, my wife, my dd12, my ds8 and dd friend12, it would hae been $254 for one night We did MVMCP in '03 and in '06 and loved it. After reading on The Dis how crowded the parties are, I couldn't justify the cost for 1 night for snow, cookies and hot chocolate. Maybe we'll get some cookies, hot chocolate and go watch Wishes from the poly beach

We went to MVMCP last year but did not buy tickets this year. It was enjoyable last year but very crowded. this year we went to MNSSHP and think that we like it a little bit better than the Christmas party. Anyway, this year we'll be on the beach at the Poly watching Holiday Wishes from afar. Since we're from upstate NY we'll see plenty of snow on our "Main Street" before the winter's over. BTW, if you go over to DHS to see the Osborne Lights they have "snow" there also. I'm sure we'll both have great holiday trips to the World.

You've been before! Time to experience something new at Disney!

Why not spend a day, evening, afternoon, whatever, touring the deluxe resorts to see the decorations?

You could go on a sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness and see all the decorated campsites.

You can spend the time in another park.

And you can still watch Holiday Wishes! You could watch from the beach at the Poly, or the 4th floor deck at the Contemporary, or the dock at the GF.

I have been debating this myself - I am taking my DD the week before Christmas and there are three parties that week. We have done MNSSHP and the P&PP and loved both - but the cost of the party is deterring me for sure.

We do not usually watch the parades and although I like fireworks, I'm not sure I want to pay that much to see them.

If the rides are walk ons, then yes, that would be worth it to me.

You will get to see the snow, the parade and the holiday wishes anyway...You will have to provide your own cookies and cocoa

Skip the cost of the overpriced Christmas party and instead treat yourself to a lot more souveniers, or you probably could even increase your stay by a night for the same cost as the party. You'd be getting 24 extra hours for the cost of 5!

When we went last year, it was the most crowded part of our entire vacation!

We won't be doing this party again for a number of years even though we visit each December.

We went for the first time last year and it was by far the most crowded and stressful part of our trip. To top it off, our DD (then 5) slept through the ENTIRE party and our teenage boys were bored. Sure DH and I really enjoyed the shows, fireworks and of course, the hot chocolate, but this year we are opting to save the $270 and find another way to have some fun!
