Melt my heart!

Just got back from the World this weekend. Had a fantastic trip. On the plane ride home, I asked my 4 year old daughter what her favorite part of Disney World was. She looked at me and said "You". We were able to spend afternoons alone in the parks since her 2 year old brother needed naps and Daddy was more than willing to rest himself. I was just thinking this morning how we made so many wonderful memories there last week that no other vacation spot could have been half as special.

Exactly what parents need to know! Thanks so much for sharing.

My DD said something similar our last trip that being at Disney World with me was her absolute favorite thing in the world. I know I'm making great memories of our family together and that's our goal when we go to WDW and NOT running for fastpasses, or making sure we ride Toy Story Mania one more time!

That is soooooooooo sweet! It really makes you realize kids realize more than you may think. I'm sure there's more vacations with responses like that! I was watching some footage I recorded of my own of Spectro and Wishes and you could hear my DD12 saying "oooooohhhhh mommy look!" She hasn't called me mommy in awhile (tweens *sigh*). I also like to look at pictures with her too and she'll say "ooohhh look that's where WE saw Mickey" or "that's where you and me ate lunch" or "that's where WE got Dole Whips" LOL It wasn't necessarily the rides she pointed out but the time we spent together.

Hoping there's more of those moments for you in the future!

That is adorable. Disney World is so magical and the memories that can be made there truly are special. They are so hard to describe to somebody who has not been. What a sweet story.

My DD5 said the same thing on our plane ride home from Disney. We were filling out her Disney scrap book and one of of the questions was about future dreams (since Disney is the place where dreams come true) and she said "more special trips with Mommy". I realized that above and beyond all of the amazing things we saw/did, the most amazing and special part was having all of that one-on-one time. It was a very magical trip and one that neither of us will forget!

That is so cute!! On one of our trips we were in a boring line - I think maybe for Soarin' - and my middle DD looked up at me out of the blue and said. "Mommy, thank you so much for taking us to Disney." I thought that was so sweet - I'm sure I never thought to thank my parents when I was little.
