Can non-resort guests look at Xmas decorations?

We're taking my parents (72 and 65, dad's in a wheelchair) with us during the week between Christmas and New Year's....we're staying offsite since there's 7 of us.....

My question is this: will they allow us to park and look around at the resort lobby decorations since we're not disney-resort guests? I assume we'd have to pay for parking....would that be at EACH resort or just one time?

My parents love Christmas decorations/trees/lights/etc, so I'd really like to show them some of the hotels and how they decorate.....but if we're not even going to be let in, i dunno....

All of the Disney resorts are open to the public and welcome visitors. During that particular week, which is the busiest of the year, deluxe resorts that are close to theme parks get a bit more restrictive about parking. They may give you a 3-hour pass, or they may ask you to park at a theme park and use Disney transportation to get to the resorts.

There's never a charge for self-parking at any Disney owned resort.

If resort parking is restricted, to visit the monorail resorts, you can park at the TTC (MK's parking lot, there will be a fee) and use the monorail to visit GF, Poly and CR. From CR, you can catch a boat over to WL, which really fits the Christmas theme and shouldn't be missed.

There's a public lot at the Boardwalk (no charge for self-parking); from there you can use the Friendship boats to travel between Boardwalk, YC/BC and Swan/Dolphin.

In fact, it is encouraged. Here's what I do:

With dad in the wheelchair, it will be very convenient and easy to negotiate by taking the monorail loop and seeing all three resorts; Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Poly are not to be missed. My mom and I were lucky enough one year to get a chance to see a wedding party get their pictures taken in front of the Christmas tree at the GF. There is also someone playing the piano in the lobby and some big overstuffed comfy chairs to lull around on while you take in all the beautiful decorations.

A little more difficult and somewhat isolated, but the Wilderness Lodge is not to be missed. I usually take the boat over from MK and then the bus back to DTD and then the water taxi back to my resort. I combine it with an evening of sitting in their lounge and having a few glasses of wine and snacks. Their lounge is my absolute favorite on-site.

Also, Boardwalk is not be missed. I do it at the end of an Epcot day and take the boat loop around to YC/BC/BW/Swan/Dolphin. I sit outside on the benches for a bit and enjoy some ice cream or a snack.

Have fun!
