Yes, you can buy your AP at the International Gateway (IG). You should be able to get a GAC there, too, if your friend's needs require one.

Thanks BCV23

We will be arriving at MCO late in the afternoon and renting a car. Is there free parking at the Boardwalk area for non Disney guests?

No, there's not. In fact, reports are that they are getting very strict which is actually a very good thing. Parking is tight there for those who are actually staying there.

If you're planning to go to Epcot that evening, just park in the Epcot parking lot and get your APs at the front of Epcot.

Have fun!

I'm not encouraging anyone to dodge the rules, but last month wifey and I, resort guests, took some local relatives to dinner at the BoardWalk and they parked right there in the main BW lot without a problem.

There is more information in the disABILITIES FAQs thread about Guest Assistance Cards (the Guest Assistance Card information is in post #6 and there is a link to the FAQs thread in my signature).

Look for CMs with red plaid vests - they are Guest Relations CMs who can issue a Guest Assistance Card. Other CMs at that location are only able to sell tickets.

If your friend has a handicapped permit, you could get free valet parking at BW or YC/BC.

But check your bill to be sure they don't charge you any way. They did us in November and we had to call to get it removed.
