Thanks for all your help, how do you think the lines will be? I think we will steer clear of the MK that Fri and Sat during the parade taping.. Hints? Clues? Ideas to help us enjoy our first Vacation in 13 years! :confused.

No advice....just wanted to say we arrive on the 1st also!!!!

oh...and we are avoiding MK on those days also!!!

We are right behind you all- arriving on the 2nd. This is our plan:

Thurs: MK for EMH, leave at lunch time. DHS that night for Fantasmic.
Fri: MK in AM til after lunch. Epcot in the evening (EMH).
Sat: DHS in morning (EMH), MK in evening.

We typically don't plan around the crowd calendars... we usually follow the touring plans and still manage just fine at this time of year. We have not been during a free dining period- so perhaps that will alter things once we are there though.

Can't wait!!

We're another family arriving on the 1st

....we too are avoiding MK on those days. We are doing MVMCP on 12/3, any of you guys going to that party? WOOOHOOO 14 more days

Sorry to the OP who is looking more for advice rather than seeing who is all going on the 1st.

We've been that week for the past 5 years and while it gets a little more crowded each year, it's light compared to summer. We'll be there the 29th for the week. See you there!

For me, it depends on two things: 1) Do you have park hoppers? 2) Can you make rope drop? If the answers are yes & yes, don't let the parade taping or anything keep you from MK if that's where you want to go. You can do so much before it gets crowded if you're there at rope drop - then just head out to another park if/when it starts getting crazy.

We are arriving on Dec. 1 also. I haven't decided whether or not to brave the crowds at MK on Saturday. The original plan was to take the Keys to the Kingdom tour, but now I'm not so sure. We'll see.

we arrive on the 1st as well-seems to be the day! WE will be going to the kingdom on the 2nd-don't think I could keep kids away. We do have park hoppers and if it seems really crowded we may leave and go somewhere else.

We are arriving on the 1st .. but late. Here are our plans ...

Dec 2 ... Epcot
Dec 3 ... Animal Kingdom and MCMCP at night
Dec 4 ... Disney Studios
Dec 5 ... MK (We have an 8:05 ADR for the CP. So we are hoping to see some of the taping on Main Street) Since this is mid way through our vacation, if we need to head out and have some down time at the hotel ... this would be a good day for it. MK is open until 1:00 AM, so we may head back later in the day.
Dec 6 ... Epcot with reservations at LeCellier for Candlelight Processional

Dec 7 ... Disney Studios ??
Dec 8 ... Animal Kindom ??

Last two days are flexible. We are meeting friends until Dec 5th ... so those days are set in stone. We are getting very excited to go. My 10 year old will not know until the day we leave ... so hard keeping a secret!

I arrive at the 28th; DHS and MK are still pretty bustling on that Saturday and Sunday, but things quickly die down during that week.

There is the parade taping extended to a third day, so MK will be crowded at the front area for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. But still manageable.

DTD always is busy Saturday and Sunday, but that also dies down by Monday as well.
