Lightbulb 2009 confirmed Photo Pass PHOTOGRAPHER LOCATION Thread

2009 confirmed Photo Pass PHOTOGRAPHER LOCATION Thread

Hello Everyone.

My Family used the Photo pass system in May of 2009 with wonderful results. We had more than 100 family photo's taken. That being said we never did see a photographer at Disney Studios. I recently had a conversation with a friend who just returned from WDW and did not see many photographers anywhere. I thought it would be great if we could confirm where in each park photographers have been spotted and how many photographers have been spotted in each park on a given day. Below I will post the "official" locations for each park and as posters inform us of their experience I will add locations. Please let me know if you were able to get a character addition such as Tinkerbell or Simba too. I will update the list to include other sightings and features. Thanks to all those who post here!

For more in-depth Photo Pass information the three sites I have found very helpful are on allears.net, Stitchkingdom.com and Photo Pass's official site.

TIPS
REMEMBER PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL USE YOUR CAMERA AS WELL AS THEIR OWN!!

I can't speak for all the dining locations, but the ones we went to -- if the photo was included (so Akershaus) and when we bought the photo (Chef Mickey's) -- you could add those photos to your Photopass CD.

I would guess that the other locations are the same, restaurant-wise. As long as you purchase the photo package, you can add the photo to your Photopass account. The number is either on the back of the photo, or on your receipt.

PS - www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass has the up to date list of all the special effects photos and where you can get them.

Thanks..In May every dinner we went to including Akershaus, CRT, Ohana and Luau would not let us add them to our account. I had to copy our 8x10 into my computer then upload them to the site to have them in my book. Did you go before or after May this year? Maybe they changed the policy.

Thanks to for mentioning www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass I knew I was forgetting an important website. Planned on adding it later. I really like this one because it shows what the photographers wear at each park.

I've been there since May, but we did not purchase any of those type of photos on that last trip. But I did do it twice in 2008 at the two locations I mentioned - I didn't ask anyone about it. Like I said, at Chef Mickey's I think the number was on the back of the photo on a sticker, and at Akershaus I think it was printed on the bottom of the receipt after we purchased the photo -- the number looked just like a Photopass card number.

just for the record, the reason why I don't offer a list is because it changes. although some photographers are stationed for certain things, demand in the park has a lot to do with it. busier parks on a particular day are going to get more photographers in more spots. that's why they take them out of the water parks during the winter months, because it doesn't pay to have them around with low crowds.

with all due respect, virtually every list I've seen on another site is sorely outdated.

not that i want to take away from your noble efforts. just throwing it out there.

as for the dining photos, to my knowledge, nothing has changed. last I was aware, the codes all began with EVNT and were printed on both the receipt and on the main photo.. and if I recall correctly, the wallet size photos (or whatever) even come in a translucent envelope that talks about adding them to PhotoPass

but in all fairness, I haven't personally done a restaurant photo in a while

We did the restaurant photos in May and last week, and were able to add all of them to our photopass. We did Chef Mickeys and Akershus in May and 1900 Park Fare last week. The ones from May have the ID number on the photo, and the ones from last week were on our receipt. As bradk mentioned above, the smaller pics did come in a clear envelope that tells you about photopass and it says that the photopass number is on the outer edge of the larger photo.

I did notice that when we were there last week, I found many more photopass photographers than we did in May. Of course, we were there during the VERY rainy week in May, so I would imagine that's why! We came home last week with over 200 photopass pics. I was glad to have a photographer with almost all of the characters that we met - in May it didn't seem like we had many character photos on our photopass. I also noticed that a good time to find them is on the parade route while waiting for the parades... we had some good pics taken at HS and MK while waiting to see the parades.

**Oh, and to add some more possibilities to your list... In Epcot we found one on the bridge that goes from UK to France (I think those are the correct countries - the Eiffel Tower is in the background!) and also one in China. At MK they were with Woody and Jesse in Frontierland and also in Adventure land with Lilo and Stitch.

This is why I wanted to start the list. The information on many web pages is outdated. The confirmed snack list here on DIS works really well. With fellow Dis'ers help I hope to keep this current or at least give a place for those folks to exchange information on a timely basis and see the history of this service to determine if it is right for them. By puting the dates on the confirmation most people will be able to tell wether that is a busy or slow park time and determine for themselves what their chances are. I'm hoping to find some patterns so we can all have a better idea of what we are buying.

THANKS!!! This is the kind of info I was hoping for! We were specifically told at every dinner it was not photopass eligible the 2nd week of may. I did not notice a number on our slips but I will go looking for them in our vacation box to see if I can find them. I'll add your location to the list. Thanks again

if the photos were taken in May, they're out of PhotoPass by now. you have 30 days to claim them.

what often happens is guests will just ask the person who brings the photos around if they can be added to PhotoPass and virtually every time they will be told no. it's either out of ignorance on the CM's part or they're afraid if they say 'yes,' guests will think they don't have to buy the package (although at CRT and PSB it doesn't have to be purchased).

i'm sure if you have the 8x10 and take it out the folder, you'll find the number printed along the border too (it's covered when they present it to you -- that's because guests would initially write the # down or take a photo of it, so they changed how the procedure works now)

YES I DID! I just looked at our BELLE Pix and at the top left corner is a number. As you said I can't varify it now as my 30 day window is over. Next May however, I will know where to look!!! Thanks

Woody and Jesse were in front of the gate where the parade route starts (looking at Splash Mtn it's to the left). Lilo and Stitch were next to the place where you get Dole Whips... Aloha Isle, I think? And Jasmine and Aladdin were next to the magic carpets. All of them had photopass photographers with them.

We got our CRT photos on photopass by using the codes printed on the back of the photo. They came as part of the breafast meal package, but I wanted them electronically as well.
